Worst service ever!!! We walked in waited to be seated as the sign instructed. The guy helping customer paid their bill and after done just turned around to do his own thing just completely ignoring us. The lady server came to talk with him and saw us, but instead of a friendly smile or welcome, she just mugged us and whisper to the guy like we are some lost people in their house. He reacted with "Oh" and looked over to us in confusion and question us like we're lost and need help or something. "Can I help you?" My husband explain to him that we would like to dine in. The guy just kept looking confused and asked "Oh, so you need a highchair?" My husband told him we probably don't need one if we sit at the booth. The guy looked over and just said, "oh, you can just go choose your own spot then." Both booth wasn't fully cleaned off, but we just chose one to sit down. Wait for 10 minutes without menu or drinks. The guy that was suppose to seat us, just went on to do his own things behind the bar area completely ignoring us and the other ladies just went into hiding at the back. the older lady server, saw us but only brought out water without any menu when we already got up to leave. The place was NOT busy at all, did have a few tables, BUT nothing close to busy where this kind of attitude and ignorance from service is understandable.
So so good & really fresh! We ordered takeout and it was so good that we had to go in-person the same week for a birthday. The food was so on point and beautifully plated. It tasted high end, but with more decent prices. Polite staff and kid friendly. Spice levels were adjustable. The pad thai noodles were smooth & flavorful. I'm not sure what kind of noodles or sauce they used, but the noodles were never dry, even when we had take out, it was amazingly smooth and perfectly soft. The pad thai & beef laab were my favorites. Everything we had was really good, fresh & packed with flavor.
Food was great every time I come here. Too bad there was no bartender available. Their service could be better. Host/waiter could be more friendly. Waited too long for the check. Sushi was not too bad this round. Last time was better

I’ve visited this restaurant three times, with my most recent visit being tonight. Each time, I’ve been impressed by the prompt and courteous wait staff.
I’ve tried the beef laab on my first two visits, but I found the flavors to be inconsistent, making it not the strongest dish on the menu. The spring rolls were decent, though not standout. However, the papaya salad is a must-try—its flavors are spot on!
Tonight, my son and I opted for pho. He ordered the beef and meatball pho, while I had the large special. Unfortunately, both dishes were lacking in protein, with my son’s bowl noticeably short on meat and meatballs. That said, the broth was exceptional. Coming from southern Minnesota, where the best pho in minnesota is at Saigon, I can confidently say SouthEats has a broth that is better than most places in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
This has become my new favorite spot whenever I’m in St. Paul!

I never do reviews but felt like this place deserved a review. Will definitely be back again! Usually all places my husband and I go, the food tends to be mediocre but everything we got was so delicious, hot, and fresh! We ordered the drunken noodles with a level 3 spice and it was so good! A lot of flavor and very saucey too. Lao papaya with vermicelli noodles spice level 3 was ON POINT! Raw bitter laab was also on point! The nam kao was pretty decent but if I’m being honest I have had better but it was still good. Pork belly was good as well but wish the pepper was a little better. I do have to say their prices are a little higher than other places but they do give big portions! So you get your moneys worth! Overall we left really pleased with what we ordered. The owner and our waiter were very nice and always checked in on us and made sure our waters were never empty. We definitely found one of our favorite spots!

Absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the authentic flavors, don’t waste time anywhere else. The dishes are excellent fresh and paired with the hot oil is just awesome. I’ll definitely be back soon. We had the egg rolls, spring rolls, beef fried rice and general chicken. Highly recommend these.

Coke - $3
Pho - $12.99
Spring Rolls - $7 (I think?)
This is the most I’ve paid for a pop at any pho place, it did come in a taller glass and not a can though.
The pho was pretty bland, definitely need to add some condiments and dress it up. The meat inside the pho was very hearty though, well worth the price!
They just opened October 12th, and are well worth a quick stop! There are 5 booths and about 8 tables. They also have a full service bar. The inside is very cute and service was great!
Parking: Lots of parking spaces available in the parking lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wide entrance and tables.

Great food and even better customer service.
This review is long overdue. My husband and I ate at this delightful restaurant maybe a month ago. Health challenges is the only thing keeping us from visiting since then. The food was fantastic as everyone says, but we’d go back because our server was so fantastic. Vue is his name and I don’t think we’ve ever experienced a more perfect server, and we’re old and eat out a lot!

I stopped by on Tuesday for their weekly special, Khao Poon, and it was absolutely delicious and authentic! I'm usually pretty picky about Khao Poon and tend to keep my expectations low, but this one definitely exceeded them. The portions were also generous.
If you’re planning to order from here, Papaya Salad is a must! The shredded papaya was super fresh and crunchy, with a tangy lime flavor that I personally loved. I’ve had mixed experiences with Hmong-owned restaurants, but this was definitely a hit!
