Ok, so I’m a Northfield native living in Brooklyn NY, surrounded by snobby/world-class bakeries, including Ovenly, home to one of the best PB cookies in the country. Bread People’s cookies, including the PB cookie, completely blow it out of the water. There’s so much delicacy in the flavor of everything they make - i hope this place becomes a Northfield institution!!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE bakery. I dare say it's the best one in the county (at least). I love the granola as well as the chocolate babka and their cardamom rolls! Worth visiting for coffee with friends.

I am beginning my switch of allegiance for my sourdough preference to the bread people. I've noticed this place for some time but I worked at a nearby bakery that does have very good bread and felt loyal to that location for a long time. However, I haven't worked there in a few years so I say anything is fair game. When I stopped in just to check this place out after getting a coffee next door I was wowed with the pungent delicious smell of sourdough. I bought a loaf while drooling over the good looking baked goods on display. Comparing the baked goods here to the ones from the other place is just apples/oranges IMO. Now that I know, I can appreciate a different level or approach to producing quality baked goods. I think the bread people are onto something.Aside from that the employees are quite nice, helpful and eager to add new customers. I have a loaf of the cinnamon raisin bread waiting for me now. I did try a bit the day I bought it and it was delish!I like to use bread over time so I may be different then some. I'll freeze it if it won't be used for a while, but I also don't mind storing some in the frig, too. I like dense, chewy bread.The store looks clean, modern, inviting and the goods are displayed attractively. All these things guarantee I'll be returning.Hope they continue to do well! Can't wait to try their lunch sandwiches.

Absolutely fabulous bread! Some of the best sliced loaf and sourdough bread I have tasted in my entire life.THIS is the perfect bread to eat simple with a bit of Irish butter and sprinkle of salt. What a treat to have such a shop here in Northfield.
I just stopped in and for a quick look around! ~ And left with a most delicious scone! Cinnamon, very fresh! I'll be back soon.

Their hand crafted sourdough wholegrain bread is THE BEST sourdough you will find. It should be available to everyone. Whoever perfected your recipe nailed it. I wish I could buy your bread in stores. It's a bit of a drive to Northfield. Get the word out to others Bread People!

I have tried the cookies, scones and of course the incredible bread, are all made from the heart. You will not be disappointed with anything you try here.
