This is my favorite coffee shop in town to go to write, make art, dawdle, and think.

Great coffee, great service, great atmosphere. Frequented by professors, students, and townies. Busy, buzzy atmosphere on weekend mornings but pretty quiet during the workweek.

THE best coffee shop in Northfield. Superb coffee and coffee drinks, and lots of non-coffee options too, from teas to bottled drinks. Great bakery items if you get there early enough. And the atmosphere! Love the vibe whether it’s a quiet weekday morning or a buzzing weekend afternoon. The service is top-notch too: baristas that know their stuff!

The ownership and staff are amazing ?? here. The cold drinks are great, warm drinks are even better. The vibe is always upbeat and fun. It's a great place. Little Joy is the best coffeehouse in Northfield. Don't forget the patio either, it's special.

this coffee shop is host to a lot of culture in Northfield. i have spoken to the owner on a number of occasions and respect the way he does business. the coffee and other beverages can't be beat. the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and has perfect aesthetic. it is also a favored hangout for local celebrities not limited to musicians and artists. definitely one of the first places i go when im in town.

I found this spot a few months back. I was in need of a good cup of coffee but that isn’t always easy to find once you get out of major metropolitan areas. Enter Little Joy. They have a great space, fun branding and more importantly know how to brew delicious cup of coffee. Whether you are just stopping for a quick drink or spending some time on their shady patio gazing out at the river, this is a must visit haunt. This has become a must visit spot on any trip that winds past Northfield.

I just started working in Northfield a couple days a week and was inbetween meetings so I stopped in for a coffee today, it was exceptional. I wish I lived closer so I could be a regular but either way I know I’ll be back! I live outside of a smaller town about 30 minutes away and have greatly been missing fresh coffee like this, if you live nearby this place should be your go to for coffee!

These guys got the coffee shop vibe right! I got the Big Easy- cold brew, chicory cold foam simple syrup, sea salt - and it was amazing! So unique. I ordered it half sweet. The space is bright and airy. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Northfield - and beyond!

Great coffee shop in downtown Northfield. Good coffee in a welcoming atmosphere with unique specialty drinks.

The specialty drinks here are always interesting! seasonal favorites are the spring fling and the not a pumpkin spice latte. Pastries are alright, but not always the freshest. I do love the cheese danish when they have them!

I live in a bigger city than Northfield and frequent many different cafes. I like to try a large variety. This preface is here to provide context to why I was so surprised to find coffee better than any of the cafes in my city in Northfield. Little Joy's baristas are the only ones in the state of MN I've met who can make a good flat white. This might not sound like a huge thing but that's meant as the most glowing review. The coffee was well roasted, well ground, well extracted, and my drink was made perfectly. The price was entirely reasonable and I got to enjoy my coffee on a balcony overlooking the river. This is the only cafe you should visit in Northfield. And if you like great coffee and a great view it might even be worth going to Northfield just for it. I can't say much about the pastries as I have celiac and couldn't try them but my friend I was with said she likes them. It easily earns five stars. The only reason I took one off in the atmosphere section is because the interior of the building has a postmodern sleek sterility to it that, while common in cafes these days, isn't my thing. To recap, coffee great, service great, location great. Go here. Also, if the owner reads this, your baristas are phenomonal. You should give them a raise.

Best coffee in Northfield with good service! I usually get the iced vanilla latte. They also have delicious pastries and sometimes pastries from Martha's Sweet Treats! There are great seating options inside (nice environment to work) or outside on their back patio that overlooks the river.
