Lots to choose from, all delicious: broccoli beef, salt n pepper shrimp, cocktail shrimp, salmon in butter, stir fried chicken, green beans, braised mushroom, sweet n sour pork, fried chicken wings, fried and steamed rice, noodles, egg drop soup, hot n sour soup, etc. Dessert and fruit.

We’ve dined at New Buffet since it opened quite a few years ago. In fact, the husband of the couple that runs the restaurant was the head chef at the other buffet place in Owatonna that has since closed. The food at New Buffet is very good; not too salty, or too starchy. Of all the Chinese buffet places I’ve tried, New Buffet is my favorite.
I kept forgetting about this place since it's somewhat tucked back from downtown, but finally made it a point to order take out. Very generous portions at a reasonable price, and friendly staff. I deeply regret taking so long to go here, and will definitely be returning. Regularly.

Our family of 5 ate at 11 am Sunday. The food was hot and fresh. The crab rangoon was the best I've had. Shrimp was served 4 different ways. Freshly made sushi too. The veggies and meats were perfectly cooked and everything was continually restocked. Huge assortment of ice cream (even green tea which tasted like a frozen matcha). We expect Sunday will be dinner prices and that soda is additional (we got water). Cost was $62 (3 adults, 2 kids). Attentive staff - we will be back for sure! Highly recommend.
