The person at the counter was friendly however the food could have been fresher at the time.

The food was horrible! Tasted like a cheap grocery store preformed hamburger. Waited at the order counter & finally someone came to take our order. Tables with signs saying they were sanitized for my safety sure looked like they needed cleaning. Not worth our 80 mile drive to try a Wahlburger!

Fair at best. Sun par food which had clearly been sitting around for some time, bland flavor, excessive breading. Find another option.

My husband and I went to have Mother’s Day brunch at the Oakdale Hy Vee restaurant this morning This was definitely the worst buffet brunch I have ever had. First- it was $50 for the 2 of us. We were given a nasty orange drink instead of real orange juice - and she only filled the small glasses a little over half full. The buffet was extremely lacking: biscuits and watered down sausage gravy, soupy cheesy potatoes with onion and bacon bits, greasy soggy bacon, sausage links, extremely dry AND cold FAKE scrambled eggs with hard melted cheese on top, a small bowl of assorted fruit, croissants, small apple pastries, donut holes, ham and over cooked prime rib. No muffins, toast, bagels, English muffins, pancakes or french toast. I’ve had better FREE continental breakfasts (with more variety) at hotels I’ve stayed at. Then, we get to the booth that has a sign on the table saying that it’s been sanitized for our safety. There was food on the napkin holder, on the wall, on the seat, and smeared all over the back of the booth. (I have pics). We asked three different staff members for silverware - and were told by each that they would get us some, but no one ever brought us any silverware. We ended up grabbing some plastic utensils. Please note: these people were NOT busy. There were only 2 other tables with customers in the restaurant. We left without finishing even one plate of food. My husband went back to grab some more of the spiral ham (it was really the only thing that wasn’t half bad). He stood there waiting for over 5 minutes, but the employee who was supposed to be there carving the meat did not return - so we just left. All in all: I would definitely NOT recommend Oakdale Hy Vee Mother’s Day Brunch. Ridiculously high price for the lack of variety and poor quality of food - not to mention, the utterly horrible service. If we thought they would have given us our money back, we would have asked. Needless to say - we won’t be returning. Just incredibly disappointed.

This used to be a decent restaurant, for what it was. We stopped in today to grab a bite for lunch. They seem to have eliminated their wait staff. My wife ordered a hamburger (ahem, a Wahlburger). It arrived barely warm along with the similarly not hot tater tots. It's almost like the burgers are precooked and they are throwing them in the microwave just prior to serving. With no wait staff, there really wasn't a way to complain. We won't be back.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. After she was done on her phone she kind of acknowledged us. Said hi to the girl behind the counter and she just looked me up and down. She needs to be fired. Walked right out

Breakfast was good. Would have liked to order and paid at table. Have to do this inside the actual Hy-vee store then go in and find a seat. There is a special for September for bottomless mimosas for $12 on Saturdays from 8-12, I think.

Good selection of pub food. If that’s not good enough, the entire deli and sushi area is fair game. Friendly bar tender and a good selection of local brews. Haven’t tried yet but $3 happy hour pints are a good deal. Great seating and lots of displays showing sports, news, etc.

I tried Mom's Sloppy Joe with extra bread on top so that it wouldn't be an open faced sandwich. I loved it, and would order again, but there are also other options I would like to try. I only go here on special occasions, like family member birthdays.

Worst food ever. I've never been to this Burger place. You order in the grocery store, then go in the huge restaurant. There were 2 other tables full at 1 pm. I got a "sloppy joe" which was a pile of canned onion strips over some sort of orange sauce and a white suace. I dug in the find a spoonful of meet stuck to some kind of bread. When I handed it back to the waitress she said the goo was cheese. She was not a happy camper.I got a pre-frozen hamburger that was dry and tasteless, served on an already greasy piece of paper on a tray.I would give it a zero.

We bought a salad and a boneless chicken, after a very long wait we received a bag with our food and at work, one napkin for both of us to share, no silverware, cold chicken, no dressing. Terrible !!.
