best Mexican food in the Northland hands down! I have been here to eat at least 100 times and im not even from park rapids. I recommend this place to all my friends

Great food and service, cool looking facility too
Seems the cook doesn't know how to make mexican food. Went for dinner on Memorial Day 2025 and was very disappointed in the food. The burritos looked the same as the enchilada but a different size. Both had the same meat filling, the burrito didn't have any tomatoes, lettuce etc toppings. The chalupa wasn't a chalupa. All it was, was a small soggy corn tortilla on the bottom, lettuce and tomatoes with a little guac on top. Looked and tasted nothing like it should have. The refried...read full review

Vallartas Mexican Grill offers excellent service and good food, although prices are a bit higher than other Mexican restaurants. The seating is in a bright basement with colorful decor, but some find the loud music distracting. The staff is known for being excellent, and the food is very good. Guests appreciate the large portions, which can be split, and the good tequila and frozen drinks make it a great spot for tasty Mexican food in northern Minnesota. The art adds to the inviting atmosphere, creating a lively and colorful environment. The food is often described as delicious and succulent, and many visitors wish they could go more often. Although service can be slow at times, especially when tucked in a corner, the overall experience is positive, with many returning for the flavorful meals.
