I have been in the area for my entire life and had never eaten at Commander. I was surprisingly pleased with the food. I highly recommend the fried walleye and cheesy potatoes. The ranch dressing is also really good. Our server was fantastic, sweet, and on the ball!

Reasonably priced and generally above average bar food. Onion rings were delicious and fresh. BBQ ribs were very tender but sauce was a bit sweet for my taste. Artichoke dip was not flavorful and the bread it came with was dry.

Food was great! Our waitress Susie was wonderful! We had a large group of all ages we were well taken care of. The prices were as expectedKid-friendliness: As a bar and restaurant, kids are welcome but not the target customer. Our waitress Susie gave extra attention to the kids and made them feel important too!

Had a great time at JJs went up to hear the band sat at the bar listened to the bartender tell his life story to a couple including exchanging numbers we asked a bartender walking by for drinks who had walked by many times BTW, she apologized for her employee poured our drinks and then slammed them down in front of us rudely then told us we couldn't stay ......they've changed now that they've been purchased by the resort prices went up they're not interested in locals coming in they've got the city tourists.

Ordered the famous garbage pizza and it was tasteless. More like chewing on a piece of cardboard. 2 dinners and a sandwich arrive 45 minutes after the pizza. Very embarrassing for us to bring out of town company to a place we have enjoyed in the past. Not the waitresses fault at all!

Ordered a pepperoni pizza but there was no pepperoni. I had then asked to get the pepperoni on the side, thinking they would cook it so I could at least place it on my pizza but they just gave me refrigerated pepperoni. No apology or any effort to resolve the issue. The people next to me also had the same issue and they were dining in.
