The coffee was great and so was the atmosphere with a fish tank, lots of comfy couches, and tons of beautiful plants. Along with the coffee, I also ordered a cranberry orange muffin to go. The muffin was spicy and did not have any orange or cranberry flavors. It made me feel quite ill after a couple bites, and was the strangest muffin I have ever eaten. My boyfriend tasted it as well and asked why it was spicy, and we promptly relocated it to the trash. I would go back for drinks only!

We went in and ordered two sandwiches and a coffee. Coffee was great and came quick! We were optimistic.
$40 for for all, so expensive! But hoped the food was good.
Until 45 minutes later and STILL no food. While waiting, all we could hear was an employee laying on the couch behind us on the phone complaining to someone about not having her car. It's was loud and disruptive to us, and also aggravating considering we have been here for ages waiting and she's was just lounging about and not checking in on the patreons or anything.
If she was on break, maybe don't complain loudly in the guest section of the cafe?
I was cold and just wanted to go, so my husband asked them to swap the sandwiches to a to-go order. Magically, they reappeared very shortly after with both sandwiches.
Mine was supposed to be toasted and wasn't, food was colder, and very small portions. I got maybe a small lays chip bag worth of chips.
Very disappointed, not worth the money at all!
The coffee was good, only thing worth getting.

Had a great experience here and the customer service was excellent. I sometimes have complicated orders and they were really pleasant and receptive. Makes me want to come back! Looks like they have a fun food menu but we just got coffee drinks. Tons of people were here on a Monday morning which means this place is doing something right! Very fun relaxing atmosphere too. I bet it’s very cozy in the winter especially

Brought my family of 10 here to get some breakfast drinks and had a really bad customer service experience with this obviously high-strung, angry lady behind the counter wearing a black hoody and baseball cap. I assume she is the manager or co-owner?
One-by-one our group all ordered their drinks, and before I even paid, she called my name for an iced coffee that nobody from my group ordered. When I told her we didn’t order it, her attitude instantly switched to aggressive and angry as she chirped back at me “someone in your group ordered this!” Her face turned very red and she almost started shaking. I double checked with my group to be certain, and again everyone denied they ordered it.
She then had some snarky remark like “well, hope so!” as she took the iced coffee to a different counter… Quite a childish response. This whole experience was really frustrating for everyone in our group and clearly she was taking some personal problem out on our group. I’m not even sure why I tipped anything — hopefully it went to the hardworking kids who had bright, positive attitudes!
The young cashier working the counter needed me to repeat things several times, which is no problem, but obviously the mistake was made by him here. But this didn’t cross the manager lady’s mind and she made an assumption by blaming our group for the drink being ordered! Pretty pathetic customer service. The line got quiet as obviously nobody wanted to receive the brunt of this lady’s anger for their order.
So in the end, I paid extra for a drink we CLEARLY did not order, because we know how to speak and say words — and was made to feel bad for something I didn’t do. I’ve worked in customer service for many years and would never blame a customer or treat them like this.
I understand the 4th of July is a busy time, but you should never treat your customers like that. In fact, ma’am you should NOT be interacting with customers, at all. I went to high school in Pequot and our family has contributed immensely to this local economy for decades. So Lakes Latte, enjoy the extra money for your mistake and the free iced coffee nobody ordered.
Do better next time. Definitely an unforgettable experience and not in a good way.

They have the best coffee around. Plus, they have sugar-free English toffee. No other coffee shop carries it. Their wraps are big and customizable.

A very confusing system, would be better with more clear instructions. Filled out the wrong lunch card, our bad. (The piles were mixed up) We were directed to the card we meant to fill out, even after that we still had our food made incorrectly. The whole process took 3x as longer than to just tell the person up front what we wanted. Coffee is okay, the strawberry matcha just tastes like strawberry milk, not bad but not matcha. Food was good

Lakes latte is the closest coffee shop to us from our vacation property so we definitely visit when we are in the area. This location is inviting when you first step through the door as it looks like your grandmas log cabin however-a bit musty.
There are some local handmade items such as jewelry, cards and art. They have a decent size sandwich/wrap/panini menu which we have yet to Try. The muffins are decent and hit the spot with a tea or black coffee. There are lots of fun drink options-all of which are fully customizable to suit your taste and preferences. The only complaint I have is that alternate milk such as almond/oat is $1.33 more which is extremely pricy to add onto a $6.50 latte but equates to no more than your local chain baristas.
I love to support small businesses so I will always stop in and see what is new!
My daughter ordered a drink that wasn’t very flavorful… mine was ordered half sweet and had a ton of flavor so I’m not sure what happened but it was an easy fix! The barista just added a bit more flavor and told her to try it out and if need be she’s happy to add more. Service is decent. I wouldn’t say above and beyond but friendly enough to greet and engage in light conversation.

Vegan option is veggie wrap with no mayo. It was very tasty! The regular size was plenty of food and we had leftovers for later. Thanks for accommodating the modification

I ordered a blueberry matcha. There is absolutely no matcha in my drink, pure milk with blueberry syrup. Easily the worst “matcha” I’ve ever had. I love supporting small local businesses, but not when I get a milk with syrup in it for six dollars.
