The Preserve Smokehouse at Grand View Lodge

Was there recently for a Bourban and craft beer dinner with a four course meal. Fun event and great food.

The service was great. The food was amazing! I recommend the brisket and the mac and cheese as a side. I loved the smoked flavor in the mac and cheese. The brisket had a good flavor, a really good crust on it, and very tender.

My wife has a lot of food allergies and sensitivities, and the staff went above and beyond to create something somewhat off menu for her to eat. I want to specifically recognize chef Leroy for his patience and respectful attitude while crafting a wonderful meal for her. The BBQ was top notch! I can’t speak highly enough of this restaurant!

#1. The waitress’s were by far the most friendly, welcoming, down to earth ladies I have met in a long time! (To my kindred AZ waitress, the ice isn’t that bad, if I can do it so can you!) #2. The food - coming from a pretty picky person when it comes to what ”good food is” ….mouthwateringly delicious! Every bite from the cornbread, to the brisket, burnt ends, mac n cheese, & potato salad. #3. The place is clean, with a gorgeous view of the pristine looking golf course. What else can I say, try it! You won’t regret it if you know what good food is. We will definitely be coming back.

Just had the most amazing supper tonight! The food was absolutely incredibly mouth watering!! We had the Brisket and Smoked Ends with the Mac N Cheese, Burnt end baked beans, and potato salad! Our service was some of the BEST service I've ever had to experience!! The staff went above and beyond for us!! It was a surprise for my birthday and a 1st for my girlfriend and I, we were both blown away!! We will definitely be back for more! (OH, and the view was breathtaking even in the crappy rainy weather!)

Great GOLF

We stopped in for a smoked brisket sandwich, which we split, which was AMAAAA-ZING! The bartender served us. We had plenty of barbecue sauce and I cannot recommend enough their smoked brisket sandwich!

Beautiful place, amazing view of the golf course. Had ribs and brisket both were very fall of the bone tender. BBQ sauce was very good, reminded me of sweet baby rays. The cornbread was good and honey butter was amazing with it!

There was only 1 guy working the dining room. He was also the bartender. I felt sorry for him. He was very nice, but clearly needed help. We ordered an app, and never got it. When our food arrived, it was all cold. everything. It's like they stuck it in microwaves and warmed it up. so some of the center of things was lukewarm. All the sides were mediocre. The mains, ribs, chicken, I bet would be good, if only they had been hot, or even warm.

We had dinner on a Sunday evening before the week of 4th of July. Service was quick and friendly (although it was a quieter kind of night). I had the platter with pulled pork, smoked chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, and corn bread, and every single item was fantastic. A coworker recommended we try this place since she had enjoyed the sister location in Minneapolis, and it was excellent on all accounts. It is part of the golf center, but there is a nice outdoor patio area overlooking the course with a pretty view.

AMAZING RIBS! Pimento cheese appetizer very good. Burger was good! Pecan Pie Excellent! We will be back next season! Thank you for a great dining experience!

We went for a family supper while staying at the resort, overall a good meal. A few highlights- the portion sizes were large on the platters. The hush puppies are a must try! Handmade, Soft on the inside and not dry at all. Bf had the soul burger which was probably my second favorite, pimento cheese and bacon jam on anything is a winner. Everything else was well made and seasoned well. I give this a 4 star because it's a solid choice, not life changing, but you will leave full and satisfied. The rest of the group was overall happy with their meals as well.
