“Last week I stopped in here for Mantorville Christmas and definitely wanted to come back and try it. Today we did and it did not disappoint. Unique menu for everyone. This place is amazing. “This truly is a great place to eat but they have a hard time deciding If they are going to do takeout on Saturdays which I personally find odd I've been going here for years and sometimes they do takeout on Saturdays and sometimes they don't which can be frustrating. Other than that, it's a fantastic place to eat.”

“Our plans for a late dinner and beers fell apart. One of our group called and asked if Newt's (South) could accommodate a group of our size that late on a Tuesday. “What a treat! In a picturesque stone building immediately across the street from the famous Hubbell House, the Mantorville Saloon is a relaxed, laid—back bar with typical bar food to order. The walls are covered with pictures of local events and history, including a picture of an elegant stone building that used to be about a block away, which had most recently been a plumbing store. There is a very nice tent in the back for people who prefer to eat in the open air. Indoors is very nice, with ample room for social distancing. Ambiance might be typical of a century’s old bar, now with colored lights and televisions for those who want to follow the sports. For Viking’s games, there is a large roll-down screen to give everyone an excellent view.”
