“We like this place, so we wondered why we had not been here in a long time. I looked, it was 2017 last time. Whew! We came back Friday, October 27, 2023. It has been six years. It is the same friendly small restaurant pub. Unique in that it has "real" Belgian beer, I mean rare brands imported from Belgium. Another reviewer said... "you can buy the same beers at Trader Joe's or Andy's down the road". Well, not so. Trader Joe's has a Belgian beer made in Canada. Not sure if Andy's has any at all, but definitely not the ones sold here. I digress, we arrived at 6:15PM on a Friday and it was busy, but we were lucky enough to get a table right away... seat yourself here. This place is beautiful inside and one feels right at home with a nice vibe and great ambiance. They have a blackboard featuring specials, but also a vast menu of pizzas, appetizers, salads and of course the Toasties - grilled sandwiches of many kinds available. Also a large cocktail list and big beer selections, including several imported Belgian beers. I opted for a Delirium Noctournum, a dark 8.5% ABV. It was great! My wife had a TB Margarita. She ordered the Toastie Special - Turkey, Cheddar, Pepperoni with Red Pepper Aioli. I had the Doc Holiday - Roast Beef, BBQ Sauce, FF Onions and Cheddar. Good all around. Our server was Jon C. who was very good and a quite chatty fellow. Our food was brought out by a young lady who didn't leaver her name. This place is entertaining and fun. Yeah, we will be back again.”

“10 stars!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My boyfriend and I got the coconut & cherry jubilee, both had rich flavoring and tasted magnificent. If you’re moving into Rochester or simply passing through definitely stop here & give it a try! You’ll love it!”

“A few weeks ago I ate dinner here and my car died outside of the restaurant on one of the coldest evenings of the month. I went inside to let the guy at the cash register know that I had to call for a tow truck just so they wouldn't be surprised. Without hesitation, he immediately offered to jumpstart my car. He brought his car around the front and jumped it, while still taking orders and dashing in/out of the restaurant to make sure I was doing okay. Good food and even better people! Can't thank you enough!”

“Came to Rochester becasue my wife was at the Mayo Clinic for two weeks. I was there for a week and I found this place just down the street from my hotel. Came in on Sunday night to pick up a pizza and Rafael helped me at the counter. I was looking around at everything in the store and Rafael came to talk to me. We started chatting about the resturant, the history, how he got there, etc... Just a great guy - cared about his clients. I watched that for about 30 minute. Great Pizza but I like NY style pizza, so... Told him our situation and he said "whatever we can do to help." So I told him I would be back. I came back on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. I got pasta and a sandwich one night, another pizza the next, got some deserts....and every time I went in there Rafael treated me like I was family. Introduced me to Pasquale and then I chatted with Pasquale for about 20-30 minutes, as wel. Went back on Friday to get a bunch of their stuff before we had to go home. Introduced my wife to them and they treated her like family. They told her that if she needed to stay longer....whatever she needed they would help. It's been a long time since I have felt that kind of "love" from a local eatery. Rafael and Pasquale are great people and they truly care about their product, the quality of the product, and the service they provide. And the food is great. Killer pizzas, delicious pasta and sandwiches....just a great place. I highly recommend Pasquale's.”

The service was excellent, the waitress was excellent and offered advice on all questions. I had the walleye and one of the guests had the pork chops. The food was excellent. I was offered a discount fir Veterans day which was unexpected but very much appreciated. We will return”

“There is something for everyone on the menu at Twigs. Our waiter was attentive, able to answer any questions we had. The food and drinks were served promptly and did not disappoint. Twigs has a great atmosphere, is nicely decorated, and our group was able to visit without hearing conversations from other guests in the room. All in all, it was a pleasant experience at Twigs.”

“Visited for lunch with my son on Nov 10, before our appointment at Mayo. This unique spot in Rochester stands out with its all-vegan food selection - a rare find in the area. We tried the BLT and Banh MI, along with a vegan doughnut for my son, who loved it without even realizing it was vegan! The staff at Abe Coffee Shop were friendly and efficient, ensuring our food arrived quickly. The restaurant, a charmingly converted house, exudes warmth and coziness, although it’s a bit small and can get loud inside. Luckily, there’s outdoor seating available during warmer months.Expect to pay around $15 per meal, but it’s entirely worth it for the quality and uniqueness of the offerings. There’s no other place in Rochester that matches its delightful all-vegan menu. I highly recommend Abe Coffee Shop, not just to vegans but to anyone. I often bring my non-vegan friends here, and they consistently enjoy both the food and the atmosphere.”

“We are very impressed with this place. We went at an odd time, (right in between lunch and dinner) and from beginning to end, it was a 5 star experience. To begin with they allowed us to choose from lunch or dinner menus which was nice. Our waiter Phillip was attentive, helpful and funny. His recommendations were spot on and he didn’t pressure or try to upsell us.We ordered a half chicken entree with mash potatoes and gravy, a turkey avocado sandwich with fries and cole slaw, a wedge salad with ranch and vinaigrette dressings, on the side, a pan of cornbread with whipped maple butter and a couple lemonades. My wife and I split and sampled everything. The rotisserie chicken was fall off the bone delicious, well seasoned but not over sapid. The roast turkey and avocado sandwich and the wedge salad were both extremely fresh and the dressings for both were delicious as well. The fries were a whole plate, not seasoned and not greasy. The cornbread was a whole pan that was closer to cake and icing than bread and butter. Even the Lemonade and strawberry lemonades were delicious. As a matter of fact, the water was really good water too.The prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. If you’re ever in Rochester MN, give them a try.”

“We've traveled extensively, and consider ourselves farm to table foodies. Prescotts is one of the best restaurants we've ever found. Consistently great, from the homemade breads to the freshest veggies, to the wonderful sauces, it is absolutely outstanding. Today's highlights were the hunter's sauce on pork medallions, the pear salad, the snapper, and the heavenly mountain berry pie. Rochester is blessed!”

“Little Thistle is such a gem in Rochester. The inside space is bright and welcoming. Each staff member was very nice and they offer a great beer selection. One of the best parts is you can order beers in different sizes to sample new flavors or go all-in. The outside space is huge with ample seating where you don’t feel crowed. I look forward to visiting again in warmer weather to soak up some sun while sipping a delicious beer on the patio.”

“A cool place to eat or get takeout. They make the noodles in front of you (behind the glass section) and it's a really nice thing to see and engage with. Their prices are pretty good for the portion of food. Parking is in a strip mall area, but they have two designated parking spots for take out. Go check them out!”

“I went with a large group of friends for lunch. Our waitress was very nice, took excellent care of us.The menu is good, but it does limit itself a bit. Love the fact I can get drinks and food. Not a fan of strictly bar without food options. When I got out- I want the whole package. Not just food or just drinks.Location is good, and parking in the lot or in front along street. They have a great outdoor courtyard for the warmer months. Nice flowers and it’s secluded from the road. All in all- highly recommend for afternoon or night out.”

“Excited for a bubble tea shop so close to the hospital. Service was quick. The shop has some counter seating. There were lots of options. I tried my usual default Jasmine Milk Tea w/ tapioca (confirmed it was lactose free). The drink was light but still milky, didn't taste too watery. Had a strong jasmine flavor and a mild tea bitter aftertaste. The tapioca was soft but chewy and didn't harden up. Excited to try their other flavor next time!”

“We stopped here for lunch while waiting on a family member to come out of surgery at the Mayo Clinic. It was a delicious meal, and the service was wonderful. “The food was incredible, flavors were out of this world. The focaccia alone is worth the visit, but everything we got was amazing. The flavors!! The sauces, the pasta (homemade!!) brought me back to childhood memories of my Nonna. Truly not a place to miss, it’s our new favorite restaurant.”

“Made a reservation for 5, we were seated and watered immediately. Drink order was taken and we waited quite awhile(15minutes) we figured she would come back to take an app or dinner order in between that time but did not. We ordered appetizers, wings(no flavor of lemon or garlic)Parm fries were delicious and the Godzilla roll, I'm told it was delicious. The mushroom fettuccine was so good, the steak medallions were perfectly cooked and the Wagyu burger was perfectly cooked and phenomenal. The Mac n Chee with bacon and chicken was top notch. Thanks to all the talent in the kitchen. Well done!”

“I wasn't expecting much coming here for lunch when we found out that Taco Jed's was already closed.I had the Nashville hot sandwich and it was pretty decent. It wasn't Nashville hot (at all - I suspect it either wasn't made as one or the order didn't get placed properly) but as a chicken sandwich, it was juicy and the bread was nicely buttered and toasted. The fries it came with were pretty good too.Our server was friendly and checked on us fairly regularly.”

“We had to go to Rochester from Hutchinson to run errands, and it was very late. We got to Nupa at 830, and we were worried that the kitchen was closed already since they close at 9PM.The person who greeted us was very nice and welcoming. We told him we needed a couple of minutes to look at the menu because it was first time there. To our surprise, he gave us complementary drinks. The food was so good! We ordered dolmades, lemon and herb half chicken, and lamb kabob. The serving was generous, and the price was not expensive. We will definitely come back if we are in Rochester again.Thank you to the very nice people working tonight!”

They had a breakfast menu, but I was set on lunch, so I got their chicken Ceasar salad and a side of sweet potato fries...yum! “Kona coffee is some of the best coffee I've ever had and Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii delivers in bringing a taste of the islands to the mainland! I had a hot mocha and added in macadamia nut flavoring, with oatmilk. It was perfect! Absolutely no complaints! The cinnamon streusel breakfast bread was also great, but I think it would be perfect if it were served warm - that's the only thing holding back the 5 star review for me. “We just purchased two Bundt cakes at Thursdays Downtown Rochester. If you have not stopped at their booth and purchased a cake I strongly suggest you do! I mentioned I was picking out a cake for myself, it was my birthday and I could not have had a more delicious cake from anywhere. My husband bought one for himself and we thought we would eat half tonight and save the other half for the next night, well, that didn’t happen. My Mom is having a 95th birthday party next month and this is where we will be ordering our cake. Absolutely delicious! So if you are at Thursdays Downtown or at Barlow Plaza stop in, you won’t be disappointed!”

“Oh my gosh. I walked out of this restaurant feeling NOURISHED.The owners/staff were extremely friendly and took great care of us. They answered all of our questions.Once the food came out- wow. I don’t remember the last time I felt so out of control (in a good way)while eating dinner… I could not stop eating. It was all so delicious and fresh. The flavors were popping. We ordered dessert and they just were so kind they gave it to us on the house. Unexpected kindness that I really appreciated. The food was fresh, delicious and healthy. You can really tell the people who are cooking it or making it with love because I will once again say I came out feeling nourished, like I had been fed by a mother or grandmother.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian”

“I really want to love this place. This is a great place to meet friends and chat. Their coffee drinks, except for the drip brew of the day, are all made from espresso, and are pretty strong brews. So if you are a light blend person, you will not like the drinks here: have them put a lot of milk/milk substitute in your drink. The ice cream is really good though. However, it is hard to hear each other with a group of more than four people - it is a very echo-y space, and downright loud with more than ten total customers. They could improve on this quite a bit by just putting up some soft fabric wall hangings in a couple of spots, or something else to cut down on the reverberation of brewing noise and conversation. The other thing that takes away from the perfection of the atmosphere and the employees, is that they have very little actual food. What they have is donuts, pastries and maybe cookies. There are pretty much no foods available that are not sweet treats. Fine for a quick stop for coffee of the day and stuff like that, or a mid - morning chat. But you can't really eat here and come away feeling like you have "eaten". They also close at one pm. If you come in after 10 a.m. on a Saturday, they are almost as likely to be out of most pastries as they are to have more than two to choose from.”

“I’m appalled that Francisco’s wasn’t the first restaurant I was directed to after moving to Rochester. The oxtail, coconut rice, plantains, and chicken were delicious. A small place with a lot of heart. You know it’s good when there’s a steady stream of people coming in and out for to-go orders, all while there’s torrential downpour and a thunderstorm outside.”

“I really enjoyed the breakfast. It reminded me of the food I ate growing up and the mom and pop places I used to go to back home. It’s a shame that there aren’t more places like this in the area, but at least not I know where to go. I got the ham and cheese omelet, and it was perfect. Also, you can’t beat the prices here.Parking: There’s lots of available parking.”

“Asia Fusion has always been a gem in the community. Even though it's tucked away in a common looking strip mall, the atmosphere couldn't be more different on the inside. Currently, this is a takeout place due to low staffing but it still holds the calm, relaxing colors and Buddhist elements that were there when it did have dining. The food is wonderful with robust flavor and enough to have leftovers. While they have always had incredible gluten free options, the menu has been revamped to be nearly all gluten free. This place holds many wonderful memories for me and I'm enjoying the takeout while hoping the dining room will once again reopen.”

“Decent place to play pool and darts. It was surprisingly empty at 7pm on a Saturday, but it quickly got busy once there was live music later on in the night. We stood at the bar for probably 15 minutes waiting to close our tab, which was understandable for how many people there were - just know it gets busy enough that you will be waiting awhile to drink or leave.”
“This café is a very welcome addition to the Downtown Rochester scene. The ambiance is hip and chill, with plenty of comfortable seating and super friendly staff. The coffees were very good, and we learned that they're also made from locally sourced materials. My husband had a hazelnut latte and I had a pumpkin spice latte, and both of them were delicious; my PSL was the perfect balance of latte and spices. We also shared a very good apple turnover. Prices were very reasonable. We sat at a table for a couple of hours and nobody rushed us out despite a steady stream of customers. We parked in a small surface lot around the corner, as this place doesn't have its own parking. The café is conveniently located near several restaurants and The Galleria.”

“BEST tacos in town!! And trust me, I've tried them all! The meat is so tender and flavorful, and the tortillas are unlike anything I've seen before. These tacos are so good you can even eat them cold, which I've done before. Their desserts are super yummy as well, I really recommend you give this place a try! The service is amazing as well, the guy is super nice and funny. He deserves all the good business coming to him! :)They also have a really good hot Cheeto elote (corn) on the cob, which I didn't get a picture of but was super good too!!!”
“Freshly prepared, very delicious enchiladas and barbecoa tacos. The food truck inside and out as well as the surrounding picnic table area was clean and tidy. The staff preparing and serving the food were friendly and professional. We will return to try the machete taco.”
“Walking in, the place was well decorated and clean. The staff were professional, kind, and very attentive. We had a table of 6 and ordered a bunch of different things. I liked all the food that we ordered. Everything was well presented, cooked right, and had inspiring flavors. My favorites were the Korean wings, deviled eggs, meatloaf, the Frenchman burger, and the salmon. The tiramasu dessert we had at the end was huge, and we all shared one. It was delicious! The alcoholic beverages were made well and tasted good. I loved their pina colada and old fashioned. The bartender there was down to earth and funny. I highly recommend this place for a date or for a friend group to go out or drinks. I will definitely be back ?”

“We didn't know it was “date night” when we booked. Two entrees, one desert, and a bottle of house red for $65. Great deal, and the food was amazing as always.”

“We stopped here for lunch while waiting on a family member to come out of surgery at the Mayo Clinic. It was a delicious meal, and the service was wonderful. If I lived in Rochester, I would come here ALL THE TIME. I got the spicy yellow tail salad bowl, and it was perfection. My dad got the beef with broccoli and also really liked it--very fresh and not overly salty like this dish can sometimes be.Vegetarian options: Very expansive menuDietary restrictions: plenty of options for most types of eatersParking: Easy to park, plenty of spaces.”

They had a breakfast menu, but I was set on lunch, so I got their chicken Ceasar salad and a side of sweet potato fries...yum! As always, they have popcorn for you to grab and usually haven't had problems with seating. The parking lot can get cramped, but I don't come a lot.”

“A must stop for me when I'm near Rochester. Wonderful and welcoming staff. Moondance is my favorite white. Marquette is my favorite red, unfortunately they won't have that one for a while, but I'll be patiently waiting. ? The Fireside Red is great for fireside sipping during a cold fall season. Their ciders are pretty good also.”

“Thank goodness that the ice cream place was closed. With the brewery open, it was the option available and I’m glad it was. The bartender, McKenzie, was an absolute sweetheart and catered to our needs. What a selection of beers available… thankfully we were walking! Don’t pass this place up, it’s the Cheers of Rochester.”

Well done!”
