5 Best Craft Breweries in Rochester

Little Thistle Brewing Brewery • $
2031 14th St NW, Rochester

“I'm really confused by the Facebook reviews saying only 78% recommend Little Thistle. Between their spacious taproom and outdoor seating, delicious beer, friendly staff, well-organized events, and ongoing support for the community, Little Thistle has been a favorite for years!“

Thesis Beer Project Brewery • $
1929 2nd St SW, Rochester

“They have a nice selection of beverages and I would say there is something for everyone. They are kid friendly and occasionally I bring my kids. They have non-alcoholic beverages available as well. There are some board games available to play. They do have a few snack like Monster cookies and Lefse chips. There is a lot of items they are doing activities or loud music so it's often not the best place to meet and chat but Trivia is quite popular. Staff are always very nice and knowledgeable about the beverages they serve.“

“Delicious pumpkin beer and the lobster food truck was amazing. They lose a star because of the biting flies and gnats on the patio, maybe spray or add some thermacells....they were so bad I couldn't sit out there for more than 5 minutes.“

“I visited Forager and the venue is welcoming with one of the best tucked away patios. The paintings on the building were beautiful. The guitarist performing outside was on point. I ordered the beef stroganoff and overall it was okay. I found it bland and it needed more flavor. The main flavor for me, was flour. I also had to ask for salt and pepper which was not provided. There was some dill on it which added some flair but not enough dill. I feel fresh parsley will bring this dish to life along with some extra garlic. The carrot cake cupcake was amazing. The light frosting, the carmel drizzel, and candied carrots all were flavorful!“
