“Steel Toe is a stalwart of Minneapolis… erm, St. Louis Park, beer scene. Taproom has expanded over the years, including outdoor space (though no heaters or fire pits from what I could tell). Only qualm was the taproom/drinking area felt a little sterile, which I know is common for breweries in formerly industrial areas.Was kind of surprised to see they had 3 barleywines on tap - that’s a lot of variety for a pretty rare style!“

“My husband and I went with a couple of friends. They have good dark beers and a collection of rare whiskies. My husband was able to have a pour of Pappy, a bucket list item for him. Our friends had appetizers, and they liked them. They also had several non-alcoholic drink options.“

“We recently enjoyed the the Köld Kolsch from Fair State. We do like our kolsch beers and we enjoyed this one fairly well. It had all the features and highlights like a kolsch should. With this beer the flavor highlights are crisp ,clean, bready and some presence of graininess.It was a very refreshing beer and one that we liked quite a bit as the heat of midsummer cranked up a few notches when we enjoyed this Kolsch a few weeks ago.“
“I didn’t know cider could taste this good! If I could buy this in my home country I would be buying it and recommending it to everyone. Sad for me it’s only available in the US. They use lots of different apple varies to create very unique flavours. Not too sweet too.Vegetarian options: Gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian pizza options, all delicious.“

“As the name suggests, this place is all about being social. You definitely want to come with a group. My party of two stopped by on a trivia night and, even with the host on the loud speakers, I'd say the sound split was 55/45 in favor of guest chatter. Nicely varied selection of drinks, and the food truck has a solid burger. Tots were a bit over seasoned for my taste.“

“A cosy brewery where you can sit down with your buds and enjoy every sip. They have a good variety of beers on tap and few seasonal ones as well. You can have free popcorns on the side to enjoy with your beers. They have limited seating for up to around 10 tables, so chose a not so busy time to go there and make the most of it. ?“

“I don't get here often but when I do it's consistently good beer and friendly staff. I was last in a few weeks ago when they released their collab beer w Community Hops, a Longfellow IPA. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful when I've tried to pick a few beers to have 5 oz pours of. Parking can be a little tricky on a Friday at 5:00 as I found out in June, they have a limited number of parking spaces so....may the odds be in your favor. Cheers!“
“My husband I have been coming here for a couple years now and we LOVE it. As frequent brewery visitors, out of all that we have been to around the Twin Cities WSB is by far our favorite. The hospitality and atmosphere this place brings is unmatched. (Of course, we also LOVE their beer!) We always get a friendly smile and a delicious pint. Highly highly recommend.“
“Insight Brewing and Taproom is a large, expansive, local taproom, with polite and friendly staff behind the bar. There are lots and lots of seating options, including a suedo "living room" showing movies, long "Munich Oktoberfest" style high-top tables, bar stools at the long and curving bar, and a number of intimate booths and cubbie areas to snuggle up with your "significant other".Insight has a large parking lot located on the West side of the facility, and is convenient in location being just a couple of blocks west of 280.Atmosphere is down-home comfortable, with a good mix of ages throughout the taproom. Great vibe! Dogs are certainly allowed, and there were many of them present last night. The taproom offers a wide variety of beers on tap, including 6 - 7 THC seltzers and limited release collab beers. There are also a couple of kombucha and soda NA options.Only downside for me last night was the strong smell of cleaning fluids wafting throughout the brewery. Granted, I showed up approximately 1.5 hours prior to closing, so the staff was cleaning up prior to close. But it was a strong smell just the same, and messed up my taste of the otherwise delicious beers I had there last night (I tried the Level Up, a classic American Pale Ale and their Night Shift - a delicious, heavy, dark and semi-sweet porter). In terms of the cleaning smell, I am thankful that they ARE cleaning the taproom with the strong chemicals! Good health for all!Overall, great experience at Insight!“
“Really good service, a nice open space, and a wide variety of beer choices (which are all done pretty well). They have a food truck available generally and it is a great place pre- or post- Twins games or other Target Field events. They have an arcade week, which was on Nov 6-12th this year, where they brought in something like 15 games and you could play all of them on free play with a $5 wristband. So much fun for the family at this event.“
“Decided to stop in on a whim. Food was excellent and price point was reasonable for the amount of food you got, especially in the North Loop area. Good selection of beer, only downside is that they don’t do flights anymore. They do offer 3-4 Oz ponies for $5, but when a pint is $7-8, doesn’t seem worth it.“
“My hasband and I enjoy dropping in for a beer usually on Friday afternoons. It is always quiet and the beer is good! Love that it is dog friendly even though we don't have one. And at least when we have gone in there hasn't been children running wild. Yay! Nice clean taproom.“
“I've been here several times over the past year on my bike commute home from work. Great beer selection and absolutely enjoyed the hazy ipa. Plenty of parking (for bikes and cars), different seating options inside and out for solo trips or with a big group. I've always had friendly and welcoming service.“
“The beer can be hit or miss in my experience, for the cost especially if can be disappointing... Usually it's at least decent but have had a few beers that have made me just want a macro instead. “This is a Vikings bar and I know this because I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the game was on. Exciting to see the fans cheering and then their eventual disappointment at the end. There was an announcement that when the Vikings are ahead, beers are $1 cheaper. That didn't last long. Oops.I enjoyed a couple of beers and their wifi, writing up a couple of Yelp reviews and working out where I would be parking for the evening. Bald Man doesn't have a kitchen, but they do have food trucks and I was lucky to enjoy a great one this afternoon.Good beer and I thought it was a fun time.“

It’s also so cool to taste a beer one month, then come back the next month and see how they’ve adjusted the flavor. Plus, they’ve added arcade games, what could be better?“
