Bald Man Brewing Brewery • $
2020 Silver Bell Rd #28, Eagan

“I love Bald Man Brewing! As a South Minneapolis resident i don’t usually gravitate to the suburbs for breweries. But my parents live in Eagan, and we drive right by it. We’ve been a number of times and I’m always happy and impressed with their brews. The Tupelo Honey Brown Ale is a particular fave of my wife and i. Malty, toasty, and flavorful, as a good brown ale should be.I also really appreciate how family friendly they are. We’ve brought our kids a few times and they run around.Cheers!“

“Laid back environment. There were a couple of families with kids but definitely feel it’s more of an adult place. Great waitstaff. Good drinks. Fantastic food. Generous portions. Lots of side options.Parking: Shares a parking lot with other businesses. Was there on a Sunday at 5pm and had no problem getting a parking spot.Kid-friendliness: The feel is more adult. Bar atmosphere.“

“It is very rare that I go out of my way to write a review but I wanted to commend our server, Nicholas, who was an absolute joy. He was attentive, filled our drinks without missing a beat, and did it all with a very pleasant demeanor. On top of the wonderful service, our food was fabulous! After todays experience, we will definitely be coming back and asking for Nicholas. Thank you for a stellar experience!“

Wandering Leaf Brewing Company Brewery • $$
2463 7th St W, St Paul - 8.07 miles

“This is a great brewery that we visit often. It is set apart from other breweries by the family friendly atmosphere and cheerful staff. It can be pretty full on a Friday or Saturday but we can usually find a table. The plants, the families, and the general friendly feel of the place will make you think you’re at a neighborhood barbecue. The patio is nice with cool awnings to provide some shade. The whole place is clean and bright. But let’s talk beer, because that’s why we’re there, right? The beer is excellent. There’s a good variety and the staff is knowledgeable about the differences. The Dark Knight is smooth and a favorite of mine, even though I’m not usually a dark beer drinker. The Pils Are Good is an easy drinker and the Moon Boots is my husband’s favorite with its low ibu rating. You’ll come for the and you’ll return for the atmosphere.“

Trove Brewing Brewery •
1719 County Rd 42 W, Burnsville - 5.42 miles

“First time here today for chess club meetup. I was greeted right away and the gentleman/owner was super nice and helpful. Fun yet low key environment that had cool decor with fun chairs, tables and keys on the wall. It was clean, they played good music, kinda like an upbeat coffee house. They let us bring in our own snacks. They have beer, soda, seltzer and 2 NA drinks available along with pretzels for purchase. Will come back!“

Wabasha Brewing Company Brewery • $

“I came for the West Side Popper Smoked Jalapeño Cream Ale after seeing it on Facebook. I had a "sword" (4-drink flight), and enjoyed each of my beers. My flight consisted of West Side Popper, Basement Ghost West Coast IPA, Altbier, and CDL Required Czech Dark Lager.“

Wooden Ship Brewing Company Brewery • $$
3300 W 44th St, Minneapolis - 10.74 miles

“We walked inside and there was a long line for the bar. It was well lit and people were sitting at tables enjoying their drinks. The drink list was projected onto a wall. The bartender was friendly and joked with us as she was taking our order. We made it just in time for happy hour which is a great deal and I highly recommend it. Our beer was good. I had "I'm over Dry January" which was strong, dark and delicious. My husband had "somebody had to say it" which was a fruited blond ale which he said was good. We sat in the tented area on the patio. There were quite a few people - families, groups of young and older people, couples of all ages and lots of well behaved dogs. It was definitely a place we'd go back to.“

“Excellent beer selection in a dog & kid friendly environment. Location right by the train, bus, & apartments is optimal. Limited parking, but they do have spots specifically for Venn. Restrooms for customers only. Highly recommend the sours, stouts, & especially the Hawaiian Hog, which almost tastes like bacon due to the smokiness.“

Summit Brewing Company Brewery • $
910 Montreal Cir, St Paul - 9.28 miles

“The original and one of the best tap rooms, yet it still seems undiscovered at times perhaps because of the location. Summit was one of the original craft breweries in the upper Midwest when the craze started in the late eighties/early nineties and it has persevered making quality beer since then. The tap room is spacious, yet still has a cozy feel. With plenty of seating inside and out, it's a year round destination though its hours are more limited than many tap rooms. That may reflect that it's main focus is still brewing beer. They always have their main stays on tap with a seasonal or two. They don't make super trendy beers, but they don't need to. Their beer is good. The atmosphere is cozy. Great place to stop.“

Ineffable Brewing Company Brewery • $$
1905 County Rd 42 W #100, Burnsville - 5.48 miles

“Friendly staff and a very well appointed and clean spot. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable I thought. I liked that they had food on the premises versus a food truck outside. My son had the corn dogs and liked them but we both agreed the pretzel bites were not good. To me they tasted like Sysco food and the cheese dipping sauce also was gritty and not to my liking.I didn't care for the beers either (I got a flight). The milkshake IPA was the best of the ones I tried. So my review is mostly a four star due to the nice facility and good service, not the food and drink.“

Wild Mind Ales Brewery • $
6031 Pillsbury Ave, Minneapolis - 7.96 miles

“Tucked away in a commercial area of south Minneapolis, Wild Minds showcases wild fermentation beers with exceptional skill. The taproom offers plenty of laid back indoor and outdoor space for a date, board games with friends, or a family gathering for the kids and dogs. Always a solid selection of fresh beers on tap from low ABV selections like Color Test to hazy IPAs, to Belgian inspired strong ales.“

Angry Inch Brewing Brewery • $
20841 Holyoke Ave, Lakeville - 9.93 miles

“Finally made it in yesterday. I really loved the space, so much light w the store front being all windows!! Loved even more that when I glanced around the tap room was regular height tables. Win!! The beertender was helpful and knowledgable, as I asked him about a few beers he pointed out "all the descriptions are pretty accurate." Parking is easy w the shared lot w next door Lakeville Brewery and street parking. I loved the wooden state of MN on the wall w the hop in Lakeville! I opted for the 9.2% Belgian Tripel - Menage A Trois and the refreshing Cerveza Del Lago. As I told my beertender "you are my 280th brewery". At this high of a brewery number I encountered a first.... beer pours are offered as 5oz, a taster size pour or a large 20 oz pour. As someone who most of the time opts for a 10oz tulip pour I was a bit bummed, but in reality w the high Belgian ABV, 5oz was all I wanted of this beer. The 5oz pours are offered at a reasonable $3.I may be the 10oz minority....it's obviously working for Angry Inch to offer these two sizes. In reality it's not something that would deter me from returning, I was just surprised as in all my brewery travels I've never encountered this option. The lights above the tables are fun, bottomless growlers! Thanks Angry Inch for the inaugural visit to your cozy tap room!“
