4 Best Craft Breweries near St. Cloud

The Pantown Brewing Company Brewery • $$
408 37th Ave N, St Cloud

“"Everything I would want in a brewery"- Robb Chung (my husband). To be fair, this man has not been to many breweries but we were in St. Cloud visiting family & my brother in law actually recommended checking out this place! He gave us a free pint chip so we had to come redeem! My husband ended up getting the Classic Cream Ale which he really enjoyed! I got the Bluemound Road Mulberry Sour that was also really tasty. What my husband loved most though is the super casual atmosphere of people chatting & the best part was there's a Vietnamese food truck outside!! I imagine the food truck rotates but the food (Saigon Express) is great quality, you can order from your phone, and she'll bring it in for you! When it's 5 degrees outside, you really can't beat that. We ended up staying for a cute date night and played Phase 10 without feeling rushed out or that they needed our table. The bartenders were all super sweet, let us try a few samples and we had a super great time!“

Beaver Island Brewing Company Brewery • $
216 6th Ave S, St Cloud

“I've been coming to Beaver Island brewing for years now ever since college. It holds a special place in my heart. I've been to a lot of small breweries and this place still ranks up in my top 3 with Lupulin and Drekker. Their beer is unique and has a certain flavor profile I haven't found at other places. Union Suit was the very first craft beer I had in my entire life and was life changing.I'm now an avid homebrewer and find a lot of my beer is inspired by Beaver Island. My favorite beer there was Tip Up, so you can imagine my sadness when I saw it was retired. If the brewers could share a 5-gallon version of their recipe so I can brew it at home and keep the memory alive, that would make me so happy (probably not going to happen, but a man can hope). Tip up walked a fine line between smoke, spruce, hops, and malt. It was almost too much of each ingredient, but never went over the edge which made it so good.“

“Made a reservation, but still had to wait. Was told our table was still occupied. However when we arrived in the dining room, there were many open tables and only 4 people were noted to have left the restaurant after we arrived. There were also several other groups waiting when we arrived and they were waiting when we arrived. We could have ordered drinks and an appetizer, but with the wait for our table we just did meals, due to not wanting to get home very late, as we had a stop to make and then an hour drive to get home.“

Back Shed Brewing Brewery • $$
624 Sundial Dr, Waite Park - 3.19 miles

“Large taproom, perhaps serves double duty as daddy daycare for the craft village next door. Plenty of options on tap, over 20...they have a dog friendly outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating. I enjoyed a couple flights before settling into a pint. They also had some live music that evening on the patio and a car show during the day.“
