“Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back, but there are a few areas that could be improved.

The biggest downside was the wait time, which was over an hour. I’ve been here a few times and can say for sure the wait is usually always about 1 hour- 1.5 hours durning breakfast time. Unfortunately, the hostess experience was a bit frustrating. My name was crossed out and rewritten on the wait list, and several groups who arrived after us were seated first. It might be helpful for the restaurant to implement an electronic waitlist system to better keep track of guests and avoid these situations in the future.

Once we were seated, though, everything turned around. Our waitress was amazing—attentive, kind, helpful, and consistently checked in throughout our meal. Her excellent service, combined with the delicious food, absolutely made up for the long wait and earlier interaction at the front.

The food was phenomenal. The apple and strawberry Pannekoeken pancake was a 5/5, and I loved that the strawberry version came with sour cream mixed with brown sugar—it was such a delicious touch. The Dutch skillet was also a 5/5 and packed with flavor. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was really good as well. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing. If you’re dining solo, expect to have leftovers, which is always a bonus!

Overall I would recommend this place! Make sure you plan for a long wait, would not recommend if you’re looking for something quick.“

“Why would anyone order pizza from one of the chains? Mr. Pizza South has amazing pizza and amazing staff who loves pizza! Have you tried the Pizza Fries? Unbelievable. The prices are great, the cheese is abundant. Seriously, why would you order from a chain.“

“This is the only restaurant that I have worked at that I will ALWAYS come back to. For the atmosphere, live music, the incredible staff (no, not favoring because I worked here, totally different staff), the food is consistent and the drinks- chefs kiss (Ryan is FANTASTIC)! Something about coming here is like coming home, it's very cozy and intimate! A best kept secret of Rochester for sure! I must add that the staff are seemingly genuine and you can tell they enjoy their jobs- not like other restaurants where you get a fake nice.“

“The food was outstanding. The sauces on the two dishes we tried were phenomenal. They were even able to replace the butter in the sauce with virgin olive oil for the Veal Portabella dish. We liked it so much we bought a quart to bring back home with us to Chicago. We used it on Salmon I caught in Alaska. It was amazing how the sauce complimented the salmon. The staff was super friendly and knowledgable about about the menu and were able to make excellent recommendations on choosing what to try. It was our first time there. We will definitely be going back when we are back in Rochester.“

“This brewery was a little hard to get to especially with the road construction out front. The bartender was very friendly and offered sample pours of beers he thought we should try. We are typically IPA, porter and stout fans and were actually a little disappointed with these beers. However, Thesis Pieces, which was a Peanut Butter Blonde and Citrus Mistress, a pastry sour, were surprising hits.“

“We were down visiting Mayo and stopped in for breakfast. Theresa and the crew are always so friendly. They are able to brighten our day even when it’s been a long day. We always make sure to stop and get the kids and us sandwiches. We can not say enough good things about this staff at this specific Bruegger’s. Theresa and staff are always quick and friendly and make you feel extra special. Keep up the great work because we appreciate the joy you bring.“

“Great tasting pizza! They are a family owned business in Rochester. Zadeos has two types of crusts: a hand-tossed original New York style crust and thin crust. They have a variety of specialty pizzas such as a Premiere, Meat Supreme, and Taco pizza. You definitely exact portions/toppings for what you pay for. They also have a lunch buffet from 11:00am to 1:30pm Tuesday through Saturday, which includes single topping pizza, meatballs, garlic bread, and a salad bar.“

“If anyone sleeps on this pizza they are crazy. I ordered 7 jumbo pizzas for a birthday party today (a Sunday) and they had them ready to go right at noon. Not only was the staff super nice and great to work with; but the pizza absolutely slapped.

11/10 on the pizza and 11/10 on the service I received! Will certainly be making another trip back with the family! Thank you for helping with the birthday party for my family!“

“Pappy's is an old school restaurant and even includes a salad bar. The food is tasty and satisfying. It's a comfortable place to eat. I started my meal with a Tom and Jerry and from the first sip I was hooked! Delicious! Hubby and I shared a French Dip sandwich with onion rings. The beef was a little bit dry but the au jus helped with that. The roll it was on was perfect. The onion rings were outstanding! We love Pappy's!“

“I’ve always liked Applebee’s. We moved to Rochester a bit ago and we just really enjoy the Apache mall Applebees. The food is always consistent, hot and seasoned well. The managers are a part of the good atmosphere, smiling, available for assistance, I see them and they say hi most visits (shout out to Greg and Ian!) service is nice as well. Cleanliness is also important and it always seems that it’s an important part of this business. Thank you!“

But this Denny’s? Completely different universe.
No chaos. No chair-throwing Olympics. Just a quiet but steady hum of forks, coffee refills, and polite nods. It felt less “late-night fight club” and more “we just got out of church and collectively decided to demolish breakfast.”
Nothing upscale. No chandeliers, no marble syrup dispensers. Just booths filled with families who looked spiritually fulfilled and physically ready to consume something the size of Noah’s Ark. 🥞🍳 Two by two, they came for pancakes and sausage.
Service was steady, food hit the spot, and the only thing getting flipped was the pancakes.
