Yo, listen up beer fam — I just got absolutely wrecked (in the best possible way) by the liquid wizardry happening at Boat House Brothers Brewing. My taste buds are writing thank-you notes as we speak.

First off, Emmitt… my guy… you’re a total G. This dude doesn’t just brew beer — he straight-up summons it from the hop heavens. It’s like he’s got cheat codes for dankness. You ever sip something so perfectly balanced between haze, juice, and dank resin that you start questioning your life choices up to this point? Yeah. That happened.

I’m talkin’ IPAs so fresh they could run for office. Stouts thicker than my cousin Vinny’s accent. Pilsners that slap harder than a wet towel in a locker room. Every pour is like a TED Talk for your palate.

The taproom vibe? Pure bro-topia. You walk in and the air just smells like barley, hops, and achievement unlocked. And the regulars? All chill, no gatekeeping — just a bunch of hop-heads and malt maniacs vibin’ together.

Bottom line: Boat House Brothers Brewing is the Disneyland for beer nerds, and Emmitt is Mickey Mouse if Mickey wore a flat brim, crushed tallboys, and could dropkick you into hop nirvana.

Would I recommend? Bro… I’d tattoo the logo on my forearm if I didn’t already have a hop cone there.

Oh my gosh, this place is absolutely adorable and super comfortable! The decorations were so cute, especially the boat-themed ones, with miniature anchors, nautical ropes, and charming little lighthouses scattered around, adding to the cozy ambiance. The staff was amazing too—they were super friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful with choosing a drink, offering thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. They even brew their own beer, and even though I’m not a beer person, it was really tasty, with rich, bold flavors and a refreshing finish that pleasantly surprised me. The other guests were great too. We all had a great time chatting, sharing stories, and laughing together, creating a warm, lively atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming and relaxed, making it feel like a gathering of old friends. The combination of fantastic decor, outstanding hospitality, and a delightful crowd made the entire experience truly unforgettable.

I loved this establishment for the first few years they were open. I even bought one of their shirts. Unfortunately, it's really gone downhill. The atmosphere has a really cool the boathouse theme, but it was absolutely filthy at our last visit. The kegs on carts, pontoon chairs, and wood craftsmanship really lost their luster with everything full of dust, dirt, grime and cobwebs.

We rented the beer hall for a shower, and it was absolutely perfect! The owners were amazing to work with, both for planning and during the actual event. We brought in our own food and NA drink, and the bar was right there for anyone who wanted beer (oh, and their beers are SO DELICIOUS!). Highly, highly recommend. Thank you, Ann and Emmett!!

They need to improve their beer. As a frequent visitor to taprooms across the Twin Cities, we would rank the beer at Boathouse at the bottom or our list.

What a fun area. Loved the vibe, loved the people, loved the atmosphere. It gives dive bar but also gives boathouse. It's very groovy and the bartender was awesome.
