Great little small town bakery that also serves great food for lunch at an affordable price. Ordered a club sandwich and coffee. It was served fast and the sandwich was fantastic. My only wish is that it had longer hours.

It would be an easy 5/5 probably a 6/5 if the hours would be better.. closed on Mondays and closing at 1 on Sunday is crazy for a breakfast boutique bakery.Especially when they are out of doughnuts and bread by noon every Sunday.I get the church rush, but stay open till 3 and have a full window for the non church goers that wants a breakfast sandwich after a late night.I would imagine profits would improve drastically. As I sit here writing this there’s been Atleast 10 more people coming in 25mins till close getting turned down by no bread or baked goods. Having to settle with literally what ever is left in the window.I only took 1 doughnut to go because there was a line behind me and I felt bad.If they where open Mondays possibly the baked goods and bread would be stocked up on a Sunday afternoon when it’s packed.

Edelweiss is a hidden gem. It's one of my favorite breakfast spots south of the Twin Cities, and has some of the best doughnuts in the state of Minnesota. Their Boston cream doughnuts are the best I've ever had anywhere -- so fresh, and with all natural ingredients, nothing artificial. Their coffee is excellent, and their breakfast sandwiches are superb. These come with a little side of their granola, which is also very good and a cool idea for a breakfast side. They do a brisk business in fancy desserts, which are in the left side of their case. Sooooo very worth the calories! Need a pie to bring to a Thanksgiving get-together? Their bourbon pecan pie is wonderful. My only bone to pick is that their apple desserts and doughnuts don't quite excel to the same degree as everything else. They slice their apples thickly, so the fruit isn't always cooked through. The service is very good. Ambiance is bright and sunny due to their windows, and there's a charming fireplace in the back. Stop by sometime! You'll be glad you did.

Came here on a Sunday morning, and even though it was packed, we managed to get spots by the window. The line to order moved relatively quickly, but it took about ten minutes for my Lavender Matcha Latte to be ready. I also got a Chocolate French Cruller and Plain Croissant. I wish the croissant was flakier, but the cruller was great. We also realized while eating that they charged us for something we didn't order, but they were more than happy to fix the error for us.Overall, a cute spot for breakfast but nothing particularly outstanding. I would come back for the drinks but probably not the pastries.

Hadn't been before and went to pick up some donuts for the neighbors. It's a really cute space and their cafe menu looks pretty good. The staff and everyone else in the cafe was super friendly and it was a great experience. The donuts themselves were pretty disappointing, though. Standard cake donuts but not quite on the level as the several other donut shops in the area. I'd definitely go to Bogarts or YoYo if you're in SE, but Cardigan is the leader by far. I want to come back to try their sandwiches so might try it out as a remote work spot one day. Probably won't be back for their pastries, though.

The Strawberry Chantilly cake is amazing. This is my go-to cake for all parties.

Fresh and delicious bakery goods. Textures and appearances were perfect.  They are extremely busy,  so everything is fresh.  Flavors really pop. The line was long, but employees seem to be working quickly.  The seating area was clean, but busy. They are expensive,  and worth it for a special treat.

Very cozy place for coffee and pastries and great staff. This place gets very busy during peak hours, so plan accordingly.Parking: Parking lot behind building.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't like sweet and tasty treats ?

We stopped here to get a small cake for a special occasion and they had the prettiest little cakes made fresh and ready to go. The girls behind the counter were helpful and friendly. It is a small shop but there was seating available. If I want cake or doughnuts or even a quick sandwich for lunch I would like to go back again.

What a disappointment this place is starting to be. Came in for lunch with my kids, my daughter ordered a grilled cheese that came out as a cheese sandwich not hot and the cheese was still cold. I ordered a salad that had some of the foulest meat I've ever seen on it when I said something about it the employee stated "I can assure you it's within it's time to be used" but it was literally gray. The employees act as if they cannot be bothered, that customers are a burden. The only thing saving this place is their pastries and I'm pretty sure they don't even make them there.

The food is consistently great but get there early because the best stuff always goes fast! For a bakery, the service is really pretty good. The service staff that has worked with me has always been pretty young which means they are really willing to help but not yet always proactive in finding creative alternatives when they are out of your first choice. But if you keep asking questions they always seem to find a delicious and very equivalent substitute. This is one of my favorite spots in Prior Lake. Very much worth a trip!

Usually much higher, but on my last visit I had a different experience. Arrived on a weekend morning and ordered an almond croissant to go. Stopped by a different coffee shop for my regular drink and found a spot to have my breakfast. Found the almond croissant to be extremely hard and only attempted a few bites. Ended up throwing away most of it. Will go back, the food in the past has been great, this one just must have been sitting too long.
