Not the same as Joy’s original but new ownership has updated the space beautifully and it’s immaculately clean. I’m sure our present hard economic times are to blame for the less-than-perfect review that Joy always earned. I was disappointed but not enough to not return. I’m sad it’s no longer the true Joy’s. Food is still very good albeit with many changes, and the menu is uncomfortably non-substitutable. Rigid. A single diner simply cannot order the fried egg rolls because the order provides four, no half orders allowed. In most restaurants, even a full order of two is often offered by the half. Tea is served via a pot or cup; as a single, I ordered just the cup, but it was cold, and I did want a little more (if it had been hot). Servers are minimal but very personable; attentive and well-intentioned. This was difficult for me to write; I have treasured Joy's for many years. I will return but likely sparingly given the changes and new high cost.

Love the food and used to eat here all the time but recently portions have gotten very small. Literally less than half what they used to be

Get the Thai Rama it's incredible. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. Pad Thai was also unreal.

Worst pad see ew I've ever had. Every piece of beef was like rubber, the noodles were awful, and even though I had ordered it mild my mouth was burning after I ate it (and I'm very spice tolerant.)

The spring rolls were delicious as well as the shrimp dish. However, the pad Thai noodles with beef was almost inedible because the beef was all grizzly and tough. I couldn’t even chew it.
I mean like, its ight. I enjoyed my food, as did my parents, but we have had better. Tho fir the price and location id say it was ok.

Restaurantji Recommends
Excellent food and friendly staff. The Pad Thai is simply excellent.
I've been to this place several times. The food is always great. I especially like the drunken noodles!
We got hair in the noodles we ordered. The soup bowl they served wasn’t clean. I’m sure there are lot of cleanliness concerns in this place. Not hygienic at all. Highly recommend anyone to avoid this place. It use to be my favorite and took my wife on a date here, totally disastrous. Looks like new ownership is cutting corners and playing with hygiene.

My wife and I eat a ton of Thai food and try places all over… Joys is HANDS DOWN the best around. The Kao Soi is the to die for and the crab rolls are the cherry on top. Great service, please try these guys out.
I ordered pumpkin curry to-go and a side of coconut sticky rice.
I was disappointed in both dishes. The restaurant was out of mangoes so i ordered just the sticky rice which had very little sauce, making it taste like regular rice with a slight flavor.
The curry had very little sauce as well. The flavor was spicy and bland. The pumpkin was the only saving factor. The pumpkin was amazing, but the dish would need more to be worth ordering again. I added eggplant to the dish and it did help a little.
