Maybe there was a time before i moved to Minnesota when Wuollet Bakery was great, because people slways talk so glowingly about them. But as far as I have ever seen across multiple locations, are stores with half full (or less) racks of random stuff that is nothing more than average when i finally choose something. The quality really isn’t any better than a Cub baked goods department. What it feels like is a family run business that had its heyday generations back and has now fallen to a generation of family members so far removed from the days of quality baked goods, that they are just allowing the chain to go through a long, slow death until they no longer see any profit and will only then shut them down. This last visit to the Robbinsdale location was filthy and that esspresso machine probably hasn't been cleaned in years. That steamer arm was encrusted in layers of old dairy like i have never even seen before.

It's been a very long time since I've had their cake. I was excited when I ran into a bakery by chance and had time to kill. I bought 1 slice of white cake. It was nothing like I had remembered and it was chilled which is a cake crime. Had almost a chemical taste and cost $6.50 for the slice. All in all dissapointed.

I hadn't stopped in the Robbinsdale location in some time. Stopped in to find the AC was out, it was 90° outside and these poor employees are working in this heat. Walked by the next day, the AC is still out and they are open yet again, complete disregard for health and wellbeing of employees.

The cases are half full, tons of lights out, just really seems to be going down hill bad...

This place is absolutely awful. Avoid at all costs.

Great bakery - tasty treats and excellent cakes. Easily ordered 2 custom cakes online at a very fair price. Only bummer was lack of air-conditioning if you're eating inside. Very kind and helpful staff.

I bought a cake from Woullet Bakery in Minnesota for a Sweet 16 birthday party, a very important event in life. To our shock and horror, when we cut into the cake, the entire middle was filled with mold.

This was not only a major health hazard, as some of the children had already eaten the cake, but it also completely ruined the celebration. The birthday girl, a teenager, was embarrassed in front of her friends and experienced significant emotional distress on her special day.

The mold in the center of the cake suggests it was not fresh and was likely sold past its expiration date. This level of negligence is unacceptable, particularly from a bakery that should prioritize the safety and satisfaction of its customers.

I cannot recommend Woullet Bakery. The lack of quality control and the impact it had on our special event was extremely disappointing and distressing. Avoid this place if you care about the quality and safety of your food.

I am writing this review to say that I miss the frosting that used to be on the carrot cake. For some reason they moved from a beautiful rich cream cheese frosting to a rubbery layer of frosting. I am not sure if it is supposed to be like this but it no longer tastes like good, and the texture is just plain bad. However, the carrot cake underneath is still delicious.

I hate to say it, but this location has gone way down hill. The donut I got today was at least a few days old. This was also the case the last few times I stopped in. The sugar cookies are inedible. I don't believe they bake at this location any longer.

This place is good we really love the donut and cookies we got ..Coffee/ latte do not recommend it was 3/10 .This place needs a lot of help there was only one person serving charging and making/ preparing the orders . Place looks dirty and not well take care of it we order a big order since we were 6 people and we ate outside the inside just don’t look like a clean place I would totally go again for the donuts . Don’t get me wrong service was excellent it was just taking tooo long of time for each family. Or maybe I was there on a busy timeAlso the there was not much to pick every shelf look pretty empty .

I’ve been a customer of this location 6-10 times a year for 15 years so I’m really value the place. That said, it feels this location is not being run with the same standards as the past. It may be a staffing or resource issue but just putting it out there because I hope there is a bounce back coming. The last 3 times within about 6 months I’ve visited, the pastry/donut selection has been much less than usual and it feels like the store is about to close. Coffee is subpar. The young man seemed to be by himself and while he was very nice it seemed like he was not being given much to work with for customers. Shelves were bare. I had a fritter that tasted like a day old. I’m fine with a place selling day old but it should be labeled as such. Bummer experience.

Unsanitary, unsettling. We went inside here on a Saturday morning, there was one man working and he was playing very loud EDM music. He was very rude and was using his phone before AND after he put on gloves. He actually started facetiming someone while putting our desert into a box too. Horrible service, I don’t even feel safe eating the food. Used to come here with my mom and never experienced anything like this. Very depressing inside aswell.????

If you advertise that you are open until 4:00pm, than you should not be closed at 3:00pm.

It’s ineffable how bad this place is. Poorly maintained, walked in and it’s blaring metal music or some garbage (which I normally don’t mind but could barely hear the guy). The coffee menu sucks, their bakery section is minimal at best. Holiday gas stations have better pastries at 2am than this place does ever. Makes ya wonder if it’s just a money laundering front it’s so bad ?
