Our dining experience at 300 on 1st was excellent!!!! The ambiance there is one of the best in town, the servers are prompt and courteous, and the food is first class!!!! It's our favorite place to go in town!

We had an exceptional meal experience at 300 First - truly a hidden gem in Rochester. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and a wonderful spot for a great meal and conversation. The staff was very attentive and Amber did a fantastic job. We really enjoyed the soup and salad starters along with a delicious pasta dish. The menu has something for everyone. We spotted some onion rings being served to another table and will have to sample these next time as they looked amazing! And don't forget the warm bread that accompanies your meal. A must visit restaurant in Rochester. We will certainly go back again.

We used to live in Rochester (a dozen years ago) and Broadstreet Cafe and The Redwood Room were our absolute favorite places! We recently joined dear friends at 300 First for dinner and although it looks different from the former Broadstreet, the atmosphere was lovely, the service and the food terrific, and even one of the old guard was still there! Good job to all!

This place is a little difficult to find if you've never been here before and it's after dark. The ambience has a modern/rustic feel. It took a bit for the server to get our drink orders and delayed service continued to be a trend over the course of dinner. They specialize in Cosmopolitans which they serve with dry ice for effect. The drinks were very good but the food was amazing! We started with the Ahi Nachos, which were a perfect balance of savory and spicy with a bit of sweetness. I don't think I've ever had anything quite like them and I will definitely order them the next time we visit. For the entree, I had the Filet Wellington which was perfectly cooked to medium doneness and so delicious. The pastry was golden and buttery. My dining partner had the 10oz Strip which was also perfectly cooked and seasoned well. No need for sauce, the juices were enough. The food was so good we forgave our server for not being on top of things and that says something. We will definitely visit again the next time were in Rochester.

Waitress was very nice. We have gone here for years and normally everything is excellent! The chicken tasted spoiled. The waitress actually served charred chicken tenders to my son, we sent back. Martini tasted unusually weak. Don't know if it is new Chefs or what, but it was very disappointing!! We will go back and try again. Hope it is better next time
