Stopped here on way back to home. It was not busy at the time I visited the restaurant. The staff were friendly and courteous. Made suggestions for food and I grabbed to go. Their shawarma and chicken wrap were nice. We will come again for sure.
The food was amazing! We were at the Mayo Clinic and love this food so we decided to stop! The waiter was very attentive even though he was the only one on the floor.
Closer to a 2.5 in terms of food quality, but the economical aspect of its pricing brings its rating up to a 3 here. Honestly most of the food here has provided my partner and I with a mid experience, with a few highlights, but for a quick bite in a place with heavy cultural components, this is still a solid establishment, especially in the city of Rochester.
My beef and lamb shawarma was overall tasty with an abundance of meat and sauces. The tabbouleh salad had way too much lemon juice which dominated the bottom, so when there was very little salad left on the plate, it quickly became extremely sour. Maybe more cucumber pieces could've helped neutralize the taste more. The baba ghanouj was pretty good with pita bread, but the consistency over time started changing and could no longer be held up in the air for some reason, maybe because it was too hot in the establishment on that day (they only had fans and no AC). My partner had the grape leaves and did not like them at all, unfortunately, but they didn't give a reason. The samosas didn't really have concrete content in them, but rather more dough-y ingredients inside. I was expecting maybe lentils, or even potatoes which would resemble a samosa more than a sambusa, but they didn't exist. My partner and I both enjoyed the bhaklava, and since one box had three pieces, we ate a total of six small pieces in two boxes. They were sweet, not too sweet, and had a good amount of pistachios while maintaining the exterior crisp.
While I personally would only recommend this establishment under certain occasions, I still think that the fact that this place exists serves the local community nicely, as when I was there, I saw lots of people coming in and out for quick bites or take out.
Definitely don’t eat in - gets messy and dirty on the tables since people throw rice everywhere and staff can’t keep up. Food was alright - portions were very large. Chicken was sold out by the time we went in the afternoon so that was disappointing… overall give it a try for the chicken , it’s probably the best around.
The baklava is amazing!
Honestly the best shawerma in MN you feel like it’s home and hummus is something else just wow. I will definitely come again. The owner was so sweet
a few blocks from Mayo but this was top notch legit middle eastern food. I flew in from NYC and this was as good as anything in NY. super smooth creamy hummus, nice shawarma sando crisped on the grill and delicious tahini sauce. all for about $11. I would eat here every day if I was staying longer. much better than the basic fare immediately around mayo. friendly family staff too.

The food quality is good, but there should be more meat. The rice served with the combo is white, not yellow. Overall, it was a decent experience.

I am here visiting the Mayo Clinic and wanted to get out in the area a bit. I’m in a wheelchair and took the short roll from the skyway to the restaurant. I noticed the step up and thought we would have to find another restaurant— then I saw the homemade ramp. I can’t express how grateful I am to the owners for making the restaurant accessible! The food was excellent and the service , including setting up the ramp for me to enter and exit, was great. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. Thank you for being so welcoming and making your restaurant accessible for all.

Forgot I even ate here, not memorable at all. Just wanted to leave a review to make sure people know that it’s a modest eat, but nothing special at all.
Too long of a wait time for food, and the delicacy of originality of culture is far from unique or special.
Our dish tasted like it was cooked from the same u washed cooking pan, we don’t order lamb, but our meats had a strong lamb taste to it, and that was very unsatisfying and mostly disgusting, flavors of previously cooked meals for other guests, very cringe of their poor choice for overlapping unnecessary flavors for new guests.
Less than average food and so so atmosphere.
Would NOT return or even reconsider eating here.
We waited over an hour for our food.
… and it was very overpriced.
Recommendation is to go elsewhere.
Most reviews for this restaurant are seriously overhyped, but listen very closely to the one star reviews, because those are the ones that highlight the major detractors of this place.

Standard menu items order placed & paid at 3:17pm to pair with wine at home for a special occasion, then I receive message at 6:20pm that they cancelled my order due to out of menu items. Unable to fulfill a simple order - very poor business practice.
