First time i came to Rochester MN, at first glance it was a small and quiet town with only hospital, school, and a golf course. However, in the silence of the city, it turns out they have an amazing coffee shop called Steam. I usually order Black Coffee but they have a product with a unique name, The Mayan.

The coffee was good, but the overall experience wasn’t great. It was crowded, but at least the service was fast. Unfortunately, the plain croissant and scone we tried weren’t very good. The staff didn’t seem to care much about the customers, probably because they already have plenty enough!

Cute coffee shop, local to Rochester which seemed hard to find a non chain option. Good atmosphere, loved the plants and variety of seating. It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning, most seats were taken up but got lucky on a seat. A good variety of coffee options and liked the seasonal specialty coffees. Worth a stop! Free street parking on Sundays too!

Loved visiting this coffee shop! Absolutely warm and welcoming vibe from the doorway! I love espresso but don’t enjoy the sour or bitter ones. The baristas informed me that they use a light roast to ensure it would be enjoyable, not bitter. The espresso was pleasant from start to finish. No sour or bitter notes whatsoever. Absolutely delicious! The cold brew was also smooth and would highly recommend! The apricot scone was also moist, delicious, and not overly sweet! The barista mentioned they come from a local bakery and they revamp the recipe regularly, ensuring high quality with taste and texture. I highly recommend this coffee shop! I am glad I had some time to explore around the Mayo Clinic and find gems like this shop!
