Our first stop at Chester's. It is owned by the same people as Hazelwood restaurants in the Twin Cities. Make a reservation as it gets busy. It is very close to the Mayo Civic Center. Cornbread Skillet - it is HUGE. A full cast iron skillet full. We couldn't even finish half. It has some corn pieces in it but was a little dry. The maple butter helped that. Prime Rib French Dip with Tater Tots - the meat was very done but my husband liked it. Good au jus sauce. The tater tots were awesome. Blackberry Jalapeno Burger (brie cheese curds, blackberry jam, roasted jalapeños, candied bacon, brioche bun) - I was disappointed as it was ordered medium rare and was almost medium well. The burgers here were thinner than Hazelwood but the overcooking made it dry. The ingredients on top helped but overcooking ruined my favorite Hazelwood burger. Banana Cream Pie - huge portion and excellent. They would have earned another star if my burger had been cooked properly. The prime rib in the sandwich shouldn't have been as well done either.

Service is phenomenal and food is delicious! Don't feel the need to stick to the menu list. You can switch things up, this pasta, that sauce, this side, etc. Just ask. They are wonderfully accommodating. Great dining experience.

Our server Jessica was the best. She made us feel like we've known her forever. She had great suggestions on food and drinks. The kitchen was fast and the food was delicious. They all help each other, managers included! We eat here when we are at Mayo. Close to the clinic and always a great place to eat. Never disappointed!

Chef Derek and the back of the house were on fire ? tonight! Perfectly dressed cranberry walnut salad and the Mediterranean pasta with shrimp was delicious! Attentive service from clean silverware to drink refills. Do NOT miss the cornbread! Thank you so much for a great meal!
We have never had a bad meal or service at Chester's. We have had lunch & dinner here. They NEVER dissapoint. Have taken home some AMAZING chocolate cake & banana cream pie.

We always come here for happy hour when we’re in town. Food is really good. Was a bit disappointed with the parsimonious serving of fries with the sliders during happy hour. Even a half dozen more would have made a big difference.
