"Hidden gem in Rochester! Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you - El Carambas Taqueria is a delightful surprise inside. The interior is well-decorated and comfortable, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

A standout feature is their unique salsa bar. You get chips and can choose from a buffet-style selection of salsas, allowing you to try different combinations and find your perfect match.

We tried the fish tacos, which were delicious, and the fried ice cream for dessert was a perfect sweet finish. The rice water was an authentic touch that added to the overall experience.

The prices are reasonable - our meal for two, including two entrées, guacamole, two specialty drinks, and dessert, came to around $50 (about $25 per person).

The friendly environment and attentive service made our visit even more enjoyable. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine in Rochester with good value for money, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!"

Super cute place with authentic Mexican cuisine. My personal favorite is Alámbres and the horchata. Staff is always nice and speedy. House made chips and salsa! Big selection of salsas too. The restaurant is decorated in culture and the owners family which gives it a very homey touch.

El Carambas is a fun and festive restaurant that's popular for its tasty dishes and big salsa selection. The one disappointment when I ordered the taco plate #1 is that the tacos were fried hard shell tortillas and not the traditional soft double corn tortillas. Still tasted delicious.

Decent Mexican food. My reason for the low rating is I drove here and saw they had a drive thru. So I went thru the “drive thru” since I had my 2 year old with me it was easier, man I waited at least 15 minutes before they even realized someone was in the drive thru. Once they noticed then I was helped promptly. What’s the point of advertising a drive thru if no one is manning the station. The food was good and reasonably priced so no complaints there.

As soon as a friend and I walk into El Carambas the cashier rudely said to us "What do you want?" We ordered our food that was highly over priced and dry. Along with drinks we did not receive. Use to love this place but not impressed by how my friend and I were treated.
