Couldn’t have asked for a better casual 26th birthday. Food was perfect and you can’t beat the Saki!

I went at 8 for supper with my wife and mother in law. We were seated right away and given our waters quickly. We ordered basic hibachi filet, chicken, and shrimp. While the food itself was cook and tasted good the portion sized were tiny. For $115 we received the smallest portion of fried rice that I have ever been served at this type of restaurant. It is also a $5 upcharge to get your rice cooked on the flattop. This is normally standard practice, however this place decided to up charge any place they can. Won't be returning to this establishment again. Only regret is I wish I took pictures of my $33 plate of hardly anything.

We read the reviews so we thought it would be a great place when we got to the building. We instantly realize that it was in a building with a bunch of other stores that were Closed down once we went inside we had to use the bathroom immediately we noticed that the Places old, but there were a lot of places that are old and have a good food so we continue to go when we were seated. Everything seemed to be fine. We did notice that the price was jacked up so high on the food also places if you order The protein you get the rice it comes with the dinner in this case you have to pay five dollars extra for the rice. The chef came out and I can tell you he was the best part of the whole thing. They did have a great chef, but the food quality the taste of the food was disgusting. Yum Yum sauce was runny. The vegetables had a taste. Maybe they were burnt to chicken was over sauce Nothing about this place was a great and if I had to rate it, I would give it one star maybe two stars for the tricks that the chef did but the overall food quality Was gross

We always go to Jenpachi for special occasions, it’s my favorite place to go out to eat. The last time we went, they continued to be amazing. The family next to us around the hibachi grill had to leave abruptly for a family emergency. (Their meal wasn’t originally supposed to be a take out order) two of the people left and two stayed while everybody working there including the waitress and cook dealt with the situation incredibly smoothly. You can tell it’s such an understanding and caring environment.
they proceeded to bring the bill to them early and made sure they had take out boxes prepared for the family to join the others who left. I love Jenpachi and this experience heightened that love and respect.

Been here two times and it was amazing! The 2nd time we sat down at the Teppanyaki table and we basically had a private chef! It was just the two of us but the chef was fun, quick and made the food right. Will be back tonight!

Always a fun stop! Family friendly, great food, and awesome staff!

Horrible experience from start to finish. The staff was beyond rude, and we were blatantly overcharged by $20 compared to the menu prices. When we questioned it, the waitress was dismissive and unprofessional, acting like it was our fault for noticing. The portions were laughably small—not worth even half of what they charge. The whole place felt chaotic and poorly managed, with long wait times and zero regard for customer service. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. One star is too generous for a place that treats customers this badly.

I really hate to do this, but this was the first time in all my life I could not leave a tip. To start, we walked in and I said hi, how are you? And the waitress said, “well I’m working- I’m alive” “I had a baby two weeks ago and can’t stand being at home so I’m here instead.” Immediately thrown off. Then we were walked to the griddle area where most like to sit to watch the experience at hand- although, we were on date night so I had to ask for a table which they only had 2 in the restaurant. We were sat under a huge fan next to a utility sink. I thought okay, freezing but maybe my fiance will nestle in. We ordered the filet mingon sushi roll with shrimp tempura- bad start, no flavor whatsoever. Then when we got our salads the waitress (not upset at her or holding a grudge) spilled ginger sauce all over my purse etc. I was starting to get anxiety. I order the lobster and steak and it comes out cold to touch. I felt so bad to tell our waitress about it but I decided if I’m paying all this money I better. It’s even asked her to feel it. I felt so bad at this point. But here we are, she says maybe we can comp it, and I suggest brining me out a side of “hot” shrimp. So they get that cooking. Mind you my food is ice cold, I’m freezing under this giant fan and everything seems run down. Another waitress/possibly manager role comes over and asks how is everything? But it did not feel genuine. I stated that the food was very cold and she argued the situation with me to the point I put my head down and stopped responding (I’m pretty dang assertive too). I couldn’t believe she was arguing with a guest spending money and I was very calm & respectful about it. The lobster was cut up into little pieces so cold- and the meat was like it was taken out of the fridge. I couldn’t believe it. I will absolutely never return unfortunately. We were never checked on after that. There’s no liveliness there anymore and way overpriced for cold, cut up food. We paid over $80. No “sorry” was given.

The Food was really good at this Restaurant. But the hostess was very unprofessional. I do understand being short staffed, most business are but there is a right way and a wrong way to conduct yourself. We were sat down and not even 5 min later the Gentlemen came out to start the food on the grill. I ask him Can we have some drinks or An appetizers before we get started. He called for the Waitress and our order was taken. Later as the meal was wrapping up I asked for the drink menu again so I can order a beverage I waited 20 mins with menu in hand. I couldn't get her attention because she was busy then as she came by with boxes she asked if I decided on a drink I ordered and she went and got our check set it on the table then went and made the drink. As I go to the front to pay she asked me how was my drink I said it was ok but I didn't like the service. She asked me what was the problem I explained the issues and Before I can finish my statement she interrupts me and says We'll if you can see I'm the only person here working the front. I stop talking because at that moment I understand that we were not going to get anywhere. I pay my tab and I say to her the way you responded to my complaint was unprofessional. You should not ask what the problem is if you are going to respond the way you did. I wote a message on my receipt and said thank you and left.
