2/29/2024….I ordered dinner tonight using GrubHub. This is THE worst BBQ experience I’ve ever had. Ribs and brisket were dry and cold and I bet they were smoked yesterday. They forgot my fried okra. The black eyed peas was as thick as paste. The JoJo’s? What is that? Fried potato chips soaking in oil. Just nasty. The bread pudding lacked any flavor or love. And the ice cream that accompanied it, was pure liquid upon arrival.
As a visitor to Rochester, I will never recommend this place. John Brockman, the owner is killing the legacy of Mr. Hardy.

Food was microwaved before we got it delivered to the table, the sauce was so acidic from it being spoiled you could smell it from the front door, definitely the worst BBQ I’ve ever had!!!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying meal.

I've gone to a place under this name in four locations over the past 40 years.1. 3rd Ave SE original I met John2. North location been there many times3. Broadway South been there twice4. 18th Ave NW by Cedarwood was only open a short time.Overall, the ribs in all are great and sauce is awesome. Cole Slaw to me is a perfect blend.

Worst meal we've had to date. We went to the north location for my birthday and I had to eat everyone else's food! It was my bday and I was the only one that didn’t get my meal. They ran out of beef about 530pm, just at the start of dinner rush. How embarrassing. No I'm sorry, just we can take it off so you have no food or it will be ready in about 25 mins. Almost an hour later, after half my family left, my food was ready. While we were there other tables got up and left, or ordered to eat there but packed up and took it home. This location has always been our go to, but this was the last straw. (We had two previous issues with take out orders) Hopefully the south store will do better. Please feel free to contact me to make it right.
Love their pork platter with jo jo potatoes. It ain't fancy but service is good.and food is really tasty.
