Came in expecting a refined pint and a cozy, old-world vibe. Got that… and an unsolicited battlefield promotion. Mid-sip, a wandering prophet of the sidewalk slid into the seat next to me, locked eyes, and informed me I am now a lieutenant in his army. Apparently we’re mobilizing soon and the tunnels beneath Rochester are involved. Before I could ask about benefits or dental, he seized my drink and chugged it like a man preparing for the apocalypse. Bartender responded with Olympic-level professionalism, ejecting him swiftly while he shouted about Trump and the end of the world like it was a limited-run podcast. Aside from being briefly drafted into an underground militia, the service was excellent, the drinks were fantastic, and the place is genuinely classy. Great atmosphere, great staff, strong pours, minimal conscription risk. Would absolutely return. Next time I’ll guard my drink and keep my rank low. 🍻

For a customer who wants to order takeout and is highly specific about their preferences, this establishment does not provide an ideal experience.
My dad, who is an older gentleman who likes to have his information as private as possible, likes to order online and check out as a guest. He also has a harder time recognizing sounds from over a phone, hence the online option. When going to check out, there is no way to do so without signing up for an account. No option, which is almost unheard of in online ordering when the guest order system is practically a staple in cheaper places.
As such, the service is practically inaccessible for those with differing needs. Before someone tries to counter with “why not just go out” or “why not just help your dad with the order”… have you ever met an undiagnosed high functioning autistic in his late 60s?

Totally enjoyed the Olde Brick House! Beautiful decor and very pleasant waiter/ bartender. Food was delicious. My husband had the cornbeef and cabbage. We shared the wonton Ruben rolls and I had the seafood chowder. Everything was top notch in my opinion.

Wonderful atmosphere. Buffalo wings are fantastic!!! I'll be coming to Mayo for the next several months and this will be my go to place to eat.
Ate here twice - the bowls were ok though made with instant rice. Came back for burger and grilled sandwich - both had strong flavor of oil (mustard and onions did help cover it up). People are nice and it’s convenient but the food is really just not good.
