My son took me to his favorite sushi place in Rochester last night. I can see why it's his favorite. Our server Summer was wonderful, answered all our questions was very attentive. She noticed me struggling with chopsticks and kindly offered either a fork or training chopsticks which I gladly accepted the training chopsticks. Sushi was AMAZING! we ordered 6 different kinds between our party of 3. Loved them all. Decor inside was very nice, while it looked rather small it comfortably accommodated 2 parties of over 9 each and various other tables. Thank you for a wonderful sushi experience. My only negative is please use black font next time you print your menus, white is very hard for older folks to read making it much harder to tell what ingredients the sushi will have. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Amazing vegetarian sushi! A must have if you are in Rochester. They also have really good yaki soba and udon noodles. The staff is very friendly and caring, they go out of their way to make sure you're having a great time.

First time eating here today. Fried rice tasted old. Chicken consistency was undercooked feeling. Sushi was bland. Crab rangoons were frozen tasting. Gyoza I could get frozen at a store and like them more. For $52 it was one of the worst places I've eaten in a while. Don't recommend at all.

My favorite sushi place in Rochester! Always consistently delicious. Just wish they had more specialty roll options and that ordering takeout didn’t take almost an hour as we typically do takeout. Inside is also really nice and great ambiance! A plus for takeout is that they have a drive through window on the side, so during the winter months this is awesome! The fried rice is also delicious.

Took my fiancé here for his birthday (we'd been here several times before) and they totally surprised us in the best way- they plated our rolls in a heart. Even our waitress had to take a photo because it was just too cute! They always take pride in their presentation and seeing them take a few extra minutes on plating our order just to make us smile made a lasting impression on us. We won't go anywhere else for sushi!
Food is always delicious! The spicy edamame are worth the upgrade! Sushi is fresh and the ramen bowl was so filling and flavorful. All the workers are kind and helpful.
Thank you Iman for the great attitude and nice, efficient service. The food is well prepared, fresh and flavorful albeit smaller than expected portion size sushi roll. The atmosphere is nice enough and clean but uninspired.

Nice, high quality sushi place compared to the all you can eat options in town. I still love Kumo when I'm hungry but Otori is now a favorite with delicious food when I want to order a la carte and eat lighter. The Korean fried chicken is delicious along with all the rolls I tried.

First time trying Ootori, based on the personal reviews. Food was good, service, not so much.If this is how it rolls, then we will gladly roll elsewhere. One server, handling the tables and requests well enough.But, condescending, rude, and made snotty comments to the chefs about a special order our table had made.Do not recommend.Edited review, moved from 2 stars to one star. Owner asked us to contact them via email. No reply after several attempts.
