Pancheros Mexican Grill - Rochester

I came to Pancheros for the first time and had a great experience. I really like that they let you get a free side of tortilla if you order a burrito bowl. Their tortillas are made fresh right in front of you, and you can watch them assemble everything as you order. The service was fast and friendly, and everything tasted fresh. I will definitely be coming back.

They are definitely not open on Saturday or Sunday even though the hours say they are. We drove over a hour to eat here...

I tried this place out for the first time. I was not very impressed. I chicken was too big and dry, the rice was under cooked, the flavor was lacking, and the hot sauce they have was not hotter then table pepper. Very disappointed, but atleast now, I know to not eat here.

Decent place food was okay but very very disappointing and strange to see a so called 'Mexican grill' that doesn't offer onions or cilantro as an option.
Actually it's almost hilarious as those are two out of the 4 primary ingredients to build a taco so I don't even understand how this place offers tacos.
I would pick Qdoba or chipotle over Pancheros unless their options improve.

Burrito was pretty good. Noon on a Saturday and we were the only 2 people, so service was very fast.

First AND LAST time eating at this place. I was looking forward to trying the tortillas and was very disappointed. They were tasteless and tough. I couldn't pull or tear it apart at all and needed salt. The rest of the food was tasteless as well. They loaded it up with a ton of rice and not much else for toppings. The rice needed salt and I didn't see ANY cilantro in it. I don't think the pico had any cilantro either. I ordered online and thought they forgot the vegs until I found 3 pieces of peppers. Such a HUGE disappointment! I will never return nor will I ever recommend it either.

OMG the vegetarian option are lava level spice (I'm Indian) slow service even when empty by employees nice cheaper than Chipotle and clean dining room.

Zero customer service. Employees act like you’re a nuisance for being there and ordering food. No care or effort was put into making the order.

Sad how different locations can impact the brand as a whole…I’ve been to a handful of locations and every one of them has been clean and delicious. This location how ever was gross and dirty it wasn’t busy so that wasn’t an issue, employees chose to sit and eat their meals instead of cleaning the areas that needed attention. Yes everyone deserves a break but shouldn’t your jobs be done first? Guy behind the counter seemed like he could care less. Bathroom needed a deep clean, pop station was out of lids and could also use a deep clean. Tables and floor were sticky and food caked on even the out door seating was yucky. The meat in my dad’s tacos was cold. The chicken in my quesadilla was few and far between thought it was just a cheese quesadilla till I looked. For three people to eat and get drinks it was $30 You clean your own tables, bring your own meal to the table and fill / re fill your drink and they still ask for a tip? Here’s a tip please keep your restaurant clean and ensure what you serve is quality. Hope this location can make some changes to live up to what other locations have achieved! Would have loved to ask for a refund but the guy behind the counter had disappeared.
Update - my dad got food poison from the under cooked meat!

Boring food comes from a boring atmosphere. This was My first trip but I feel the service was a little rude. Coke was either really flat or Diet in the reg dispenser. Chicken was room temp as was the salsa. I did like the music though. And 12 bucks plus tip for good size burrito and soda is not too bad.
