Absolutely perfect steaks! Amazing quality meat and wine and great service. I’m always incredibly satisfied after eating at RC and this was pbbly the best steak I ever had. Five stars all around! Thank you!

I enjoyed my experience here so much. The restaurant is huge and has a lot of space. Our servers were very informative and attentive. They took the time to explain everything and describe dishes on the menu. This was my first time eating at Ruths Chris and I got the classic 6 oz steak and lobster. Each bite was delicious and cooked to perfection. There was a small error with ordering and our server handled the correction with grace and ease.
Highly recommend!!

Outstanding service and quality. Thanks to Taylor, Eric, and Al. 2 nights in row weren't enough. You wouldn't be disappointed.

We came as a celebration, and we enjoyed the ambiance for the most part (the light fixtures were a bit off-putting because they flickered throughout the meal, but no complaints otherwise).
The staff was phenomenal and very attentive.
Unfortunately, the food was just subpar. The steak was not seasoned well and was not good enough to stand alone, it was flavorless. The crab cakes were not very good, we ended up needing to put cheese sauce on them from the macaroni to make them less dry. :Personally, I love crab cakes and have had them from dozens of restaurants. these are not even in the top half, give them a skip. The creamed spinach was more cream than spinach, and so heavy we could not eat much of it.
The best thing on our table by far was the lobster macaroni and cheese. If you have to eat here, just order this $30 side dish as your meal. It is filling enough.
We were very excited for Ruth's Chris to open after Pescara closed. It left a hole for a higher end restaurant in the heart of downtown. Unfortunately, every dish we ate (except one) failed to deliver.

I have probably eaten at different Ruth Chris' 50+ times and always had a great experience. This location isn't like the rest, you should skip it. I assume since it is across from Mayo there isn't a need to put out a quality product. It was clean, but the food missed the mark in a huge way. My advice is to save your Ruth Chris budget for a real location.

Just not impressed with the food for the price they charge. Had the NY strip medium rare and it was not tender at all, and even though it was red, it was fairly dry. Rest of food was ok, but we come for the steaks right? Service was great, but they did forget to bring bread. Best part of the night were the blueberry mojitos... Wonderfull. Unfortunately won't be back.

It was our anniversary, and the staff made it feel special with their well wishes, table confetti and comp'ing our desert. So nice. Food was excellent!!! We will be making this our new anniversary tradition.
This is an old-style white table cloth steakhouse and they do it very, very well. Be warned, it is pricey but we feel quite worth it. Took my sister and her husband there for her birthday and very pleased with all aspects of the experience. If you have a hankering for a steak (also has sea bass, walleye and some other sea offerings) this would be the place downtown Rochester. But, you really should try the crab cakes. They are not mucked up with filler and you can absolutely taste the chunks of crab.
Our first visit to Ruth Chris. This is a lovely experience.
Food, service and atmosphere all shined. Valet parking so easy. So celebrate and go downtown.

Our server Evan was fantastic. Brought us extra bread without being asked. Gave us a recipe card for sweet potato casserole when we raved about it. He took very good care of us without being intrusive. Food was great: we enjoyed small steak with shrimp….SO GOOD!

I had already eaten dinner tonight, but wished I hadn’t. Everything looked and smelled so good that it’s top of my list for our next visit.
After a hard day across the street at Mayo, I came downstairs to give my sweetheart some space and quiet. Staff was nice, but not intrusive. Had a good sense for friendly chat (especially Angela). I texted a friend that I can understand why people would go to Cheers rather than home now.
All I had was a glass of wine, but while I was there, a couple things went wrong around me and I was impressed with how staff and management handled it. A customer was unhappy about the wait time for a takeout item and even though the issue was immediately dealt with when she brought attention to it, she became very upset and brought it to the manager. To his credit, he was sensitive to the customer, but also to the staff, which I appreciated a lot.
His reminder to staff (I was 100% eavesdropping, sorry!) that people have bad days “across the street” and sometimes that comes out later really made me feel good as a person who had just had a bad day across the street. I didn’t yell at anyone (quite the opposite, I was ready to stand up for Angela who was responsive to customers, a wonky fridge, and the unfortunate demise of several wine glasses….), but in this location, I think staff has the power to make a big difference for people in their worst days and I want them to know it matters.

Ruth's Chris restaurants are my favorite steak house but this newly opened Rochester restaurant should not have Ruth's Chris name on the door! The service was very poor and the food was also poorly prepared. The fish dish was off flavor and the steaks were over cooked. I would suggest the Pittsburgh Blue restaurant around the corner in the Hilton Hotel
Our wait staff was just great. We came in for dinner for our anniversary and the table we were seated at had a card and some anniversary swag. It was lovely they took the time to do that for us. The drinks, the wine and the food was excellent. We won't wait for a special occasion to go back.
Excellent food and service at his new CR Steakhouse in the Grand Kaehler right across the street from Mayo Clinic. Sydney, our server, along with Gustavo, her assistant, were pleasant and engaging. The food was great as always at this premium chain steakhouse - the Caesar salad was fresh, crisp and flavorful; our steak and shrimp was expertly done (we split most of our meals nowadays), and the sweet potato casserole is ALWAYS our favorite (who needs dessert with that excellent mouth-loving dish!).
