I came with my mother for the holiday cookie & wine paring. I wasn’t sure it would be much fun- wow!! We loved it. The service was good, all the cookies delicious and homemade. The wines were crazy good. It’s hard to pick just one to bring home.We also had lunch while we were there. The turkey sandwich with Swiss on a croissant with rosemary & heirloom tomatoes. Such delicious food. We had the side salad with it. It was an explosion of flavor. The spinach & Artichoke dip was wonderful too. Not a single thing we didn’t absolutely love. Such high quality food.I can’t wait for the warmer summer weather to sit outside with nature and sip the delicious wines. It’s a bit of heaven on earth.

Good wine. Good people. They're building an observatory on the premise. Can't wait until it's up and running.

A must stop for me when I'm near Rochester. Wonderful and welcoming staff. Moondance is my favorite white. Marquette is my favorite red, unfortunately they won't have that one for a while, but I'll be patiently waiting. ? The Fireside Red is great for fireside sipping during a cold fall season. Their ciders are pretty good also.

Beautiful spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! There’s a porch off the main building, otherwise up the hill is a small covered pavilion with tables and a number of picnic tables out in the sun.Inside the main building is the counter to order wine to enjoy onsite or purchase bottles. They also have some snacks and du jour items like sandwiches or soups. They also have menus at the counter with descriptions of all their offerings.Wine and cider are all made with Minnesota local grapes and fruits - some grown right at Salem Glen, but all grapes are from within 150 miles of the location! Staff are quite knowledgeable about the wines both how they are made and the flavor profiles. My party had 2 of the drier reds - reportedly very good; a glass of the S Blanc; and 2 white wine flights (includes myself here). Some of the wines were not to my taste but my 3 companions were quite taken with the options. We all agreed they were unique flavor profiles, tending toward robust and bright.

Had a very good day with my brother, 3 older sisters, and two of my nieces. Sampled some wine and cider with the charcuterie, bread & chocolate boards. We sat inside but there were many more people enjoying the warm summer outdoors. ☀️

Excellent winery in a surprising location. They have a large selection to suit any taste. The location is beautiful, and the place is neat as a pin. Reserve a homemade pizza a Friday for a real treat!
