FOOD POISONED!!! I grew up in Rochester eating and loving taco johns. Came back to town and had 4 hard tacos and some potato olays and few hours later I was on the toilet and throwing up at the same time spent the whole night in the bathroom.. I thought it didn't taste like it used to and figured maybe they changed something but I believe now it was just rotten food.. I never leave bad reviews but this one I had to.. food inspector seriously needs to check them out..

Christmas Eve hours say open till 5pm, I haven’t had taco John’s in years and only get the potato’s, I pull up and am told they’re closed at 4:16? Which they aren’t suppose to be. Lazy workers.

Stopped in late about 9pm. Staff was really nice and helpful. Food was hot and fresh. I ordered 2 tacos and oles. I would come to this location again when im in town.

Idk who's running this store, but the staff are so incredibly hit or miss, it's astonishing. Some days I come through, they are on point and great customer service! And then there's nights like tonight. Upon entering the drive thru, there were 3 guys out back passing a blunt amongst each other. Im hyped for a legal state too, but at work? Seriously? Do it literally anywhere other than work, especially right in front of customers. After ordering in the drive thru, we checked our bag to make sure all of our food is there (we've come through several times and the orders are correct maybe half of the time, check your bag folks) and we were only missing a couple sides of queso, no big deal, right? So, we went back in to ask if we can get our sides and the girl who helped us couldn't seem more bothered by this small request. Alayna, I think? She rolled her eyes and gave a big sigh when we asked for the 2 sides of queso. Again, not really a big task? When we got our sides, they weren't even half full.. that is some petty service. It's such a small and miniscule error to correct, and you still chose to be petty? It's so bizarre to me. Overall, whoever is in management really needs to set some boundaries. We get it, food service sucks, we've all been there, but there are some standards you really need to uphold. It's such a shame.

Stopped in after 8 pm. Had a combo of 2 crispy chicken tacos w/ nachos/cheese. Staff was on it, friendly & i asked for a cup of ranch sauce for my tacos & they allowed me to get that A few nachos were stale, however, I'm not going to knock the review for that because ,1 it was late Monday, 2 it was near 20 degrees out, & 3 the location is somewhat off of the beaten path . I especially liked the mild sauce packets as they had a smoky/sweet taste w/ a kick I

I arrived at the restaurant at 5:44 to pick up my 5:45 pm mobile order and the doors were locked. There was a sign on the door saying they were closing at 7, but it was only 5:45. So then we had to wait in the long drive up line to pick up our food since we couldnt go inside. Then we finally got to the window they didn't have our order ready (15 minutes late) and were out of one of the items.

For .50$ should be fuller of sauce, wouldn't have been enough for Med., let alone a LG. But still Yummy food
I have no issues with the food here. However, management loves to leave notes threatening write ups for staff if they don’t do X or Y. I came in today and saw threats of everyone being written up or terminated on the whiteboard for all to see. No wonder the employees all seem miserable. Great job management.

I wish I had better things to say but this was a bad experience. I ordered online and went through the drive thru to pick up. After I got my order I pulled over to make sure I got everything. I didn't. I only got half of my order. I go inside and it's dead. There's only 2 people working but only 1 other customer. I don't know how my order got so messed up. The guy at the counter apologized and gave me extra food which was nice. I got my order and when I sat down to eat it was still messed up. They forgot my boyfriends burrito and I paid to customize my burrito and it was not made how I ordered it. My potato had 1 small piece of chicken and 1 potato Ole in the meat and potato burrito. I was really disappointed. I was introducing my boyfriend to TJ but he didn't have a great first impression. The restaurant was clean though.

Overall a bad experience for me, my friends, and many others. I love Taco John’s, but sadly the one in Rochester MN is ruined by lazy staff. I have came here between 9pm and 10pm, and most of the time they are closed (despite closing at 10pm). Besides that, the staff are unfriendly and lazy. Every order is sloppily put together with barely any ingredients. If I add extra ingredients, I never get what I ask for. The staff will ignore you for minutes upon entering the building. They are not friendly. One of my recent times here, the workers put an OPEN cup of lime juice that seeped through the paper bag and got all over my clothes and car seat! This is lazy and unacceptable. I get that mistakes happen and not everyone is perfect, but I have NEVER had a good experience here with ANY of the staff at ANY time of day! If you value your hard earned money and want good tacos or burritos, go to Taco Bell North Rochester MN for a MUCH better experience. The staff there are much more kind, they follow simple instructions, and aren’t lazy. Would give 0 stars if I could!
