Philly is good but noooooo meat at all and the side fake cheese curds is a nooo...

I’ll just say it. I’m a Philly snob. I’ve easily had a few hundred in my life, so I know a good Philly (and bad one) when I see it. With that said, the Phillies here DELIVER.

After 9 horrific holes of golf, I found myself famished. The Philly I had here not only provided the necessary nutrients for another 9 holes, but I loved every bite of it. I do NOT regret making my golf partners wait a half hour for me to eat. I truly believe that this Philly allowed me to perform at a slightly improved level on the back nine.

In conclusion, will be back!

Great experience

Townies is one of my favorite places to visit for dinner. They have fantastic food and they make it quickly. Their Phillies are a hearty portion with quality ingredients. Their fried chickenwich is a personal favorite of mine with just the right amount of breading and a large patty. The atmosphere is fun and lively but sometimes too loud if you’re looking to have a conversation. Their outdoor patio is a nice option in the summer and the location next to the golf course and pool is convenient.

What a great Philly! Bread is fresh meat and onions. Mushroom were phenomenal. Onion rings top-notch. Kind of a hole in the wall joint in Rochester. A must if you like Philly sandwiches.

I went here a little while ago, and let me tell you, this place had the best food I have ever had.

I went here after going to a water park pretty much right next to it, which was also incredible.

This place made my Rochester experience even better!

It is a little restaurant at one end of the clubhouse at soldiers field golf course. You order at the counter and they give a table pager that goes off when it's done. You then go pick it up. It was a nice day so we sat outside on their patio and watched the golfers. The food was quite good though so it was worth going there.

Love that they are vegetarian friendly! I did not expect that from a Philly cheesesteak place. Everything was delicious!

We ordered delivery from Townies while staying for a visit to Mayo due to them having ample Impossible options for my partner. Our order arrived and, unfortunately, had bacon on the Impossible version. When we called back, the guy that answered was incredibly polite and made everything right without any hassle. We got a new, no-bacon replacement and very much enjoyed the food.

TL;DR
Quality food and exceptional service that seems to care about the customer.
