Mi Pueblo Lakeville

Personally the worst Mexican restaurant I ate at since moving to Minnesota years ago. I should have known when I opened the cheese dip and it was mostly filled with water. Cheese is much thicker than that. The T-bone steak was tasteless with no seasoning at all, even thought it had all that stuff on top of it…..you should still season your meat. I paid a lot of money for watery cheese, unseasoned meat, and a very small portion of rice, which was the only good thing in my bag. I didn't even recognize the Tostadas.……with dry, soft, falling apart shellls, and large chunks of unseasoned chicken that was called “shredded”. A waist of my good money. Do better….we deserve better!!

I really wanted this place to be good. I had heard it was, but that was not our experience. I ordered online for pickup and we ordered 3 Birria platters and 3 kids taco meals as well as cheso and chips, which ended up being the only good thing we got. First, all 3 kids Taco meals were in a tin with the rice and beans which got somewhat mixed leaving the taco shells covered in beans and almost inedible. As for the Birria platters, we didn't get any. We got 3 boxes with what looked like shredded beef tacos but was more fat and gristle than meat and was also very dry. This was incredibly disappointing for the price we paid at more than $85 after tax. We won't be back.

FANTASTIC food and excellent service! They are a well oiled machine and everything was ready quickly and piping hot! They had constant business and turnover while we were there, but they don't rush you in any way. The art on the walls is entertaining and the staff was playful. The salsa is a bit more liquid than I prefer, but the spice level was on point. Plus they warm the chips! Nice little patio and decent amount of parking too. Not that far from 35E. Will definitely be going again! ❤️🎉

My husband and I ordered food tonight when it arrived it was missing some items so we called them and they told my husband to reorder and the driver showed up he would cancel out the money and we would not be charged so looked at are account and they took out the money so now we payed for four dishes and only go 2 but missing items we called back to ask why they took out more money and they said it would be 3 Business days before we get the money back right affter we hung up they canceled our delivery. The thing is the driver was four minutes away, so we never got our meal with the items that were missing now we have to wait for money to be put back our in our account and who knows if we’re gonna get reimbursed for any of the meal at all. I’m done.

It is our favorite Mexican food joint. The service is great the food is flavorful, and they have a very warm and inviting atmosphere. My son also loves their queso and chilps.

🚨WARNING IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH!!
This evening was our first and last visit to Mi Pueblo. In fact we left in disgust (read on...) before ordering our entrees. We got our beverages and the basket of nachos and salsa. My husband and I ate a few chips and both noticed the oil the chips were fried in was rancid. Then something caught my eye in the basket of nachos... something dark brown fried to a crisp with legs and antennas. I kid you not, there was a HUGE cockroach in the nacho basket. I picked it up to be sure. Yep, a great big deep fried dead cockroach. 🪳 I dropped it on the table (gagging) and I called the waiter over to show him what was in our nachos.

Needless to say, we left immediately. I could tell the waiter didn't want me to proclaim what I found too loudly. The dining room was packed. I have to say that finding a huge cockroach in food that I had already eaten some of is the worst restaurant experience of my life. My husband too.

Not sure what's going on w/Mi Pueblo - last 2 times - very disappointing. This time we ordered 3 to go dinners. They had almost no flavor. No salt. Even the chips were saltless.
