Friendly staff. Excellent bakery. They said they are known for their apple fritters. OMG, very good fritters.

Stopped here several times now. Its worth the exit off of the interstate if you are gluten-free. It has an entire case of New Generation gluten-free bakery in the lobby. Easy to pop in, grab your selections to go, and get a smoothie.
Dietary restrictions: The gluten-free goods are imported in their packages, tamper free, from the original bakery in mora.

I had an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience with Rush City Bakery and its owner, Nicole Retzer. My experience has left me thoroughly disappointed and disheartened, and I strongly urge others to think twice before considering employment here.
Upon showing up for my interview, Nicole immaturely laughed off the fact that she had forgotten about our scheduled meeting, despite my efforts to coordinate a convenient time. Despite this initial red flag, I was hired and set to start on July 8th.
However, when I arrived on my first day, I discovered that the owner had once again forgotten about me and failed to inform the manager of my start date. After rushing over from my first job, I was told by the manager that they had no work for me due to overstaffing. The manager claimed that Nicole had contacted me not to come in and that I had acknowledged this, which was entirely false.
I was instructed to call Nicole at 7 am the following morning to discuss the situation. When I did, she again laughed and claimed she didn't remember me. I explained the events of the previous evening, only for her to shift blame onto me, stating she hadn't received an email from me confirming my start date. This was infuriating, as I had emailed her twice to confirm. She then gave the same excuse about losing her laptop, which she had used when she forgot about our interview. Despite eventually admitting she believed me, she sarcastically asked what more I wanted her to do, dismissing her repeated failures in communication and responsibility.
When I emphasized the importance of communication and my serious approach to the job, her response was dismissive and rude. She even hung up on me after stating, "If you don't want to work here, it's on you."
This entire experience was unprofessional and disrespectful. Nicole's inability to remember new hires, coupled with her dismissive and sarcastic attitude, reflects poorly on Rush City Bakery. I cannot recommend working here to anyone who values respect, organization, and effective communication.
Warning: Do NOT work here! The unprofessional behavior and lack of accountability from the owner make this an extremely toxic environment. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

My MN go-to spot for bakery! Remember those small town bakeries from your youth? This is one of those. Superb donuts, bismarcks, long-johns, fritters, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and bread. Several booths, tables, and coffee for a quick snack. Check them out.

Small world charm. My local bakery doesn't carry Chocolate Eclairs & Collachies (spelling), so the first time I stopped, I was ecstatic! Yes, they were Amazing!! The next 2 times I went, I was disappointed that they didn't have either. I was told that I could text them & ask for them. Very disappointing. ? I work locally, and brag to everyone that I work with about how Amazing they are, unfortunately someone has decided to change up the menu, so the favorites aren't always available. My fellow Co-workers , and I have missed out repeatedly.
