Our group of 15 agreed that the food was terrific, service was quick and friendly and as we stayed long past our meal, the staff was accommodating and welcoming. This is a hidden treasure in a small town. Glad we discovered it!
Every time I head through St. Clair, I make a point to stop in here. For such a small town, this tavern has a new, big town feel. The new owners are incorporating so much of the classic menu yet bringing a new excitement to the restaurant.
The fries are awesome! Went here for a talk with one of my sons, ordered your basic bar/tavern foodstuffs. Pleasantly surprised with portion sizes and my drink was made right. A lot of locals and the music was booming since it was getting on into the night. Def a bar, but during the day it feels more like an unpretentious sports grill. I felt pretty comfortable as a boring mom traveling from out of state. Very clean, decent bathroom, no nasty bar fly types. Pretty decent eats...
