We called ahead and ordered a chicken wrap and Chicken Cranberry salad to pick up as well as a piece of pie. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our meals as we continued our drive North.

Love this place. I always get lunch there when I’m in St James. Today I got breakfast, it was so good.
If you are looking for a meal that your mom or your grandma used to make that you loved, come check this place out. Fantastic comfort food, great prices and the staff are outstanding.
Don’t visit if your looking to be trendy or looking for that lasted hip fashion food and decor.

The Home Town Cafe offers some of the best hometown food, with excellent and huge portions. The staff is polite and friendly, and the restaurant is kept clean by the owner and employees. They offer a Thanksgiving Buffet with great food and service, perfect for a holiday meal. Wheelchair accessibility is good with a nice ramp, and there is a street level entrance in the front. Reservations are recommended for holidays, but takeout is also an option. A salad bar is available for vegetarian options.
The biscuits are homemade, and the homemade pies are a must-try. The menu includes delicious options like biscuits and gravy, 3 eggs, 3 links, hash browns and toast, and a tuna sandwich. The soup special, a homemade dumpling soup with huge cuts of carrots and celery, is also highly recommended.
