With all the hyped review on the bahi mi sandwiches, I was really disappointed. I got their most liked sandwich and there was no sauce spread of any kind. No pate or mayo. Ipho Saigon has way better bahi mi sandwiches.
Clean, friendly people with good food! They have good selection of desserts and to go food too. Definitely better than lots of Vietnamese restaurants

We stopped by Ai Hue Bakery in the Twin Cities to grab some snacks for the road. The area felt a little sketchy, but parking was fine. Service was okay — not overly friendly, but we got what we needed.
They had a nice variety of Vietnamese snack options, including xôi (sticky rice) and chè (sweet dessert soup), which we enjoyed. We also picked up a few bánh mì, though the selection was limited. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a visible menu, so we had to ask for prices on everything, which made ordering a bit awkward.
Overall, it’s a decent stop if you’re craving Vietnamese snacks and don’t mind a no-frills experience.

Prices are great. Service is friendly. Food is good overall and a reliable choice. However, it doesn't quite stand out or offer anything that sets it apart from similar dishes I've had elsewhere.
Always good food. Hidden gem of a place

Be careful about your bills overcharged
Simple and delicious food! I love e thier sandwiches and steam buns 😋
2 adults and 1 six year old child. We ordered 3 dishes all under $15 each, 2 coffees (they brought 1 out first and we had to keep asking for the second one), and 1 sweet soup. The bill came out to $72 which was ridiculous even with the 18% gratuity added on eventhough service wasn't great.
I visit every chance when I get back to mpls. The best, great memories
Wonderful Experience at Ai Hues Bakery & Deli Next to Basil Cafe
I recently visited Ai Hues Bakery & Deli, located right next to Basil Cafe on University Avenue near Dale Street in St. Paul, and I was truly impressed. When I walked in, the place looked so nice, clean, and comforting-it immediately made me feel welcome. William was at the register and greeted me warmly, which added to the great first impression.
I highly recommend trying their Chrysanthemum Tea-a beautifully refreshing drink with a delicate floral sweetness that’s both soothing and delicious. It pairs perfectly with their food offerings. The congee (rice soup) I tried was the best I have ever had-rich, flavorful, and comforting in every spoonful.
I also bought three different steamed buns-savory pork, sweet taro, and another delicious variety-and they looked fantastic. I’m excited to try them soon!
The friendly service, combined with the high-quality food and cozy atmosphere, makes Ai Hues Bakery & Deli a must-visit spot. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick snack or a light meal, this place delivers an authentic and delightful experience. I can’t wait to return and try more!

Bun rieu and pate chauf and the mung bean durian drink are really good
Bahn Mi and Bahn Bao were beyond delicious!! GREAT prices and the staff were so nice. They also make cream puffs 🤤 recommended for a quick cheap homey meal. No photos cause we ate before the phone 🍽️ see you again soon
Early Wednesday morning, I bought 3 portions of duck bamboo shoot vermicelli, and when I got home, I opened it and the vermicelli was rotten. Luckily for the shop, it's an hour away so it's lazy, but since it's close, he brought it to the owner and asked the owner to swallow it all before he agreed

Hue ai is used to be a good food with the previous owner. Now it is the worst food with charging of 15% service charge, tip, and 4.00 % if you pay with credit card. You may get added up to 100.00 dollars with a simple order for 4 persons. Avoid to dinner into the restaurant is recommended.
