I debated leaving this review, but I think others might feel the same. I’m giving 4 stars because I don’t want to tank the overall rating but honestly, that doesn't reflect my personal experience or that of my friends.

Charging $5 for a single cookie just feels... off. Even accounting for overhead, the actual cost to make one cookie is way* less than $5. That kind of markup feels excessive- especially right now, when so many of us are being nickel-and-dimed from every direction.

I was genuinely excited to have a cookie shop nearby to satisfy those “I just want one good chocolate chip cookie” cravings. But at $5 each, the cookie would need to be exceptional. Instead, it tasted more like something factory-made than homemade, and my friends and I even wondered if they’re baked in-house at all.
Disappointing, to say the least. A more reasonable price could turn this place into a local gem. Right now, it just feels like a missed opportunity.

Went here totally craving something sweet and local, and wow, what a find! Stepping in, it had such a great trendy and aesthetic vibe. These cookies are seriously good – super soft and taste like they just came out of the oven. The Creme Brûlée was awesome, especially that crunchy topping. Definitely going back! Perfect for any sweet tooth. 🍪

This is our favorite cookie place. They have the best chocolate chip cookies and I am like a crazy cookie person. Ive had A LOT of cookies but these guys win hands down. The only cookies that are ever better are my own sometimes (cuz who doesnt like warm cookies straight out of the oven)

It is over an hour drive for us to get to Baking Betty's so we don't go nearly as much as we would like but we specifically do a make a point to find something in the area to do just so we can get cookies. They are just that good.

This place will probably have a line around the block next year. Stopped in here when I was walking by randomly - probably the best cookies I’ve had in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Get the pug chow, the buckeye, frosted sugar cookie - just get a bunch and if you don’t eat them in the car on the way home, you can freeze them just fine I’m sure.

Baking Betty’s is a great addition to Mac Groveland! Their cookies are freshly baked and delicious. For hot summer days, they offer ice cream cookie sandwiches. Be sure to stop in and support our local Grand Avenue cookie shop!

The cookies are truly fantastic. I get them every time that I come to Minneapolis. They also go above and beyond in making sure that the cookies are delivered

So glad we stopped in! My son goes to Macalester and we're here visiting. We walked down from campus and discovered Baking Betty's. The Buckeyes are so delicious! My mom loved the oatmeal raisin and the special Lemon Betty. The service was fast and friendly. We sat at one of the tables inside and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Please come and support this small business. The cookies are fantastic.

Baking Betty’s is the best cookie shop in town. Their buckeye cookie is the single best cookie I’ve ever eaten. The ratio of peanut butter to chocolate is perfected.

This is a do not miss place.

I had a lemon iced cookie. I prefer a somewhat crispier cookie, but the lemon flavor was wonderful.

You have to stop in and check out the cookies after I left our orthodontist appointment you would not think about going by a cookie place most people just want to go home however we had stopped him before and not bought anything and this time we stopped and we bought let me just say that the lemon cookies with the lemon icing I should have bought the whole rack because they were so delicious. It's worth making a stop because it is so yummy. She is very friendly and the shop is very very clean

How am I just finding this place!? I was craving a cookie but not a packaged one and didn’t want to make a bunch and Baking Betty’s was the perfect solution. I like being able to choose between a large or small size. I ate one on the way home and it was the perfect texture with fantastic flavor. Will be back for myself and others.
