With exquisite taste and good atmosphere no wonder that the barrio gives the authentic flavor you're looking for.

I have been here a few times and have not been disappointed. When you walk towards barrio you see a nice patio area with an ample amount of tables facing Mears Park. Inside is decorated in one of my favorite colors red. There are red booths, red High tops, and red chairs. There is a giant red bull on the wall at the entrance and a giant bar. The bar has a great selection of tequila and they do make a good drink. They have old-school rolling library ladders to reach the libations on the various shelves. They have a good selection of tacos and a fantastic selection of margaritas to quench your thirst. One of the coolest items is the giant brass-looking bull in the back that makes me think of Wall Street. Then the mask collection on the wall that leaves you wondering who would win in this lineup. I have had almost everything on the menu and my favorite tacos include the pork belly taco which is divine. Then the Mahi Mahi and the ahi tuna taco. The carnitas taco is also mouth-watering. I stopped in for some bubbly and Maddie was my server. Maddie was on top of it and a fantastic server. Even though the place was extremely busy she kept an eye to make sure my cup never runith dry. It's a breath of fresh air to get service with a smile and to see the staff having fun while they work making it not look like a sweat shop. I ran into their manager Kate who was fantastic she as well as the other manager Parker were all over the place being a part of the team. It is very rare these days to see management get their hands dirty and these two were serving, cleaning, and bartending. At night barrio has a dance area and a DJ and can be a fun time. There is nothing more fun than tequila and a dance floor. Now that patio season has officially started come down to Barrio and show them some love.

Taco meat was gross - Carnitas was a glob of slop, steak was dry & appeared to have been cut up for days, chicken yuk. Then the coagulated crusty lime wedges w brown skins. We were amazed everyone working at Barrio thought it was ok to serve this disgusting mess, from the waitress, cook & management. Chips & salsa were okay.It was 5:30 on a Friday & the place was dead. I now know why. I wish I had photos to post. So gross I actually felt a little queasy that night.

Steak tacos were bomb, tequila was smooth AF, and the guac ? was on point. Service was slow and thus the four.

Barrio continues to offer consistently delicious food and fun cocktails. The St Paul Barrio has a beautiful view of Mears Park and a patio which has the perfect seating for listening to concerts in the park! Always a fun stop for Happy Hour or a meal!

The service here is always great, as are the drinks. The tacos are delicious and filling. I highly recommend the chilaquiles they offer during their brunch hours. Shoutout to Parker who is a friendly bartender who makes great cocktails.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while in Saint Paul. The restaurant is more of a bar style restaurant. Upon entering we had to wait for someone to notice and seat us. They seem busy but the restaurant was maybe only 1/2 full at the time. Chips and salsa: not one of those restaurants that offer complimentary chips and salsa but there was a deal to add it with the burrito so that's what we did. I think they are homemade chips which was good. Crispy and crunchy. Sauce is typical mild salsa. Steak burrito: definitely worth the price. The burrito is big as you can see. It came with a small guac and pico which was great to dip with our side of chips. Tacos: steak and shrimp were both mediocre to be honest. The portion isn't really worth the price. It's a little smaller than I thought and not fully loaded like a local mom and pops taco place. But hey, it was kind of expected. Yuca fries: the Chimichurri sauce was what made us got this. Our expectation was higher than the actual side. Portion def small for price. It was greasy and oily. The sauce was mediocre again. It's crispy at least. Overall, a nice place to hang if you want some good drinks and snack food. If you're going for the food, probably not the best place for me. Our waiter was attentive and checked on us a couple time. I think the seating process could be a little better.

Tasty, and fun option in the area. Lots of space inside, and patio in front in the summer. Tasty margaritas. I recommend the diamante pepino. Ryan at the bar is a local legend who always serves with a smile.

Nope. Completely missed the mark on food and service. Nothing resembling authentic Mexican food (from ANY region of Mexico). HORRIBLE service and sky high prices. The audacity to charge over $7 for a street taco tells you everything you need to

Was in St Paul and Barrio was recommended to us by a friend and they did not disappoint. Barrio's is a Unique Tequila bar with terrific South of the border food. Service was impeccable, pleasant, informative and helpful. She helped us with information on portion sizes so we ordered enough without overdoing it. We will definitely be returning next time we are spending time in St Paul.
