I was really looking forward to trying Big River Pizza, but I left feeling disappointed. First, they don’t inform customers upfront about the automatic 18% gratuity for takeout orders, which is excessive and feels unfair for a pickup order. The pizza itself was mediocre at best, and not worth the steep price. We paid $66 for two 12inch pizzas, and for that price, we could have had better pizza and wings at other restaurants. Unfortunately, we were told Big River doesn’t even serve wings, which was another letdown. For what they charge, I expected something great, but they didn’t deliver. Definitely not planning to return.

Pizza was fantastic! Plenty of toppings on the pizza and one of the best in MN. I highly recommend this place and the owner really cares about the quality of the pizza. Wish it was closer to be able to get it on a regular basis.

I wasn't quite satisfied with the individual slices I ordered for lunch. The toppings and the sauce/cheese were good but those are the main positives. The slices were paper thin and floppy, but the crust was cooked to a crisp, making it impossible to fold the pizza. I tried to hold it with both hands but the size was too big so I had to resort to cutting it into smaller pieces. The food was expensive but despite the large slices the actual pizza was not very substantial. The atmosphere and the people were nice but I was not impressed by the food itself. Perhaps this is only an issue with by the slice orders since most other pizzas pictured in the reviews seem to be far more substantial.

Vibe here is very demure, very cutesy - but the pizza here is brat.
None better in the twin cities IMO. Pizza by the slice is the best and its $5. You will get hooked. The Italian sausage actually has fennel like it should.
They even have live music sometimes and thc drinks.

Great food and service, it was quiet when we got there as it was a Thursday evening but very much enjoyed the time.
Some of the most fresh pizza that I have ever had.
This place is fantastic, from when you first walk in, to the moment you sit down in the eclectic setting, and get your food served to perfection. The sauce is one of the most standout aspects of their pizza. You will not find a pizza that hits more in uniqueness and texture in St. Paul, and I will be going back for sure.
Went here during jazz fest to grab a bite, pizza was pretty filling for the price!! They have slices to go which is nice otherwise a small dining area inside that had a jazz group there while we were ordering! Would recommend!
