The food was good. The brisket was a little dry for my taste. The ribs were pretty good but needed flavor. I added a Bourbon sweet and spicy sauce, and it was delicious. The Bacon was also very good. The customer service was excellent. The lady was really nice. The music was really cool. I wanted to stay and eat there. Overall, it's probably the best BBQ place in the Twin Cities.

Some of the best bbq I’ve had in Minnesota, no question. I’ve only had a few beef ribs in my life, but I think this takes the cake as the best. Extremely flavorful, juicy, and comically fun to eat
The ribs tasted good and they were cooked well. Nothing to write home about, but we will definitely order them again. The pork butt was so flavorful and obviously the cheapest of the meats - would make fantastic catering food for sandwiches
My reason for a 4 rather than a 5 is due to the dryness of the brisket. Unfortunately, it was some of the drier and chewier brisket I have tasted in recent years, and based on that I cannot recommend it at all. The mac and cheese was also just so-so
Everything else was great, the people were super friendly, and we can’t wait to go back many more times!

I moved to Minnesota from Texas exactly a year ago and have been missing good bbq, I stopped here after work and there is nothing that even compares to this in the Twin Cities, Minnesota or the entire midwest. I would even go so far to say that it is better than some Texas bbq joints. In addition to the good food, the owners are extremely personable and you can tell how much they care about building community in Saint Paul! I will definitely return in the future!

They were very kind, well organized and acted as if they’d rather be nowhere else or doing anything other than serving us their incredible fare. I’ll be bringing my family out for more Black Market soon!

Yesterday we hosted a 40 person couples baby shower (BaByQ) and served Black Market brisket, ribs, mac&cheese and of coyrse their amazing beans (almost more meat than beans). The shower was successful and people raved about the food!! Jill was so wonderful to work with throughout the process. What an extraordinary experience!!

My husband and I are from Texas and are particular about our BBQ. This is not Texas bbq, but it is unbelievably fantastic. Great crust, perfect marbling, just fantastic. I always over order but I WAY outdid it this time because those beef ribs were so huge. The brisket was so moist. We won’t be going to any other bbq place in twin cities. Loyal to Black Market. Plus the people we SO friendly.
