My husband and I visited on a Sunday afternoon specifically to try their version of a crunch wrap supreme - The Centro Crunch. This restaurant is so aesthetic! We were seated right away and there was no wait, which was great. Drink and food ordering is via QR code, which was a little difficult trying to time out our appetizer with our main entrees, but it ended up working out just fine. We started with a mimosa and N/A margarita and the N/A margarita tasted JUST like a regular one - I was shocked! It was slightly sweet but tart - YUM. After perusing the menu, we ordered the centro crunch, the chorizo & egg crunch, and the tater tots with ranch. After taste testing both of the crunch wraps, we surprisingly liked the chorizo and egg crunch better than the seasoned beef crunch! Overall, we'll definitely be back for brunch and possibly lunch to try some different menu items!

A great addition to Highland Park serving tacos and surprisingly burgers with a peppy interior full of life. Inside you instantly feel like you've been transformed into a 80's roller rink party with a disco ball and funky colors. While I'm not a fan of ordering via QR, codes, the concept and late night hours (open until 11 pm Friday and Saturday) make this a unique spot to grab late night eats. Note: you can order at the bar if QR codes aren't your jam. The food comes out very quickly and is good but it didn't blow me away like La Cucaracha or Boca Chica as Centro feels more like an airport, travel, party vibe. I got the chips trio of salsas, centro crunch and a guava margarita. All were excellent! I'm happy to have this addition to Highland, late night hours and a spot to host a larger crew. 4 stars because the QR order system seems overkill with the personal information they need such as phone number and email address. My next visit I will order from the bar.

Nice decor but so-so tacos and the whole no table service but still full priced items, 10 percent surcharge and tip ... pass. R Taco on Randolph and Lexington is a less glammed up much better taco joint for a good price ... and more upfront that you're not getting a full-service restaurant.

Got the carnitas quesadilla and was thoroughly blown away by how good it was. Place was spacious, staff was friendly, and food was good. Can't ask for much more than that. Only thing I could ding would be the parking situation, but that's not their fault, it's just that highland has become very busyParking: neighborhood gets busy on the weekend

Very upbeat and smartly put together restaurant. If you can scan a QR code or can go with someone who does, it’s as simple as ordering something online and then BOOM it’s at your table. Food AND drinks. Very friendly staff. Margs were a tad inconsistent but they were both good? Idk. Definitely going back. Flagship location in NE is equally as good.Parking: It’s a rare St. Paul one way but you can park.

I literally never complain about things like this, but what just happened was so annoying I feel compelled. The order-online-from-your-table thing works well, except for when it doesn’t. We live near this Centro, and have eaten there probably 6-8 times with our two little boys. We always get them cookies at the end of their meals. We did the same this time.13 minutes after we ordered the cookies (which are obviously pre-baked and sitting in their packaging at the front desk) they still hadn’t arrived, so I went up to the front desk to ask about it. The guy working the takeout desk said he’d check. According to the email update we got, they “came out” around that time. But they never arrived. We sat at the table for a total of 26 minutes waiting for cookies that never arrived. We finally just walked out, without the cookies we’d paid for.As we walked out, I mentioned it to the guy at the front desk, who made a vague comment about how he’d had someone check on it, and then just stared at me. What made it extra asinine is that he was standing next to a stack of the cookies while he stared at me.There have been other situations like this from time to time. The ordering system can be really efficient, but with no accountability, things like this happen, making hiccups like this feel really impersonal and aggravating.

Menu prices are listed, and then in extremely and intentionally tiny print in the corner of the drink side of the menu that you likely won’t look at too closely anyway, the menu says “10% fee added to all orders to increase staff wages.” So the menu prices are not accurate, with only this tiny notice, made so seemingly with the intention that customers won’t notice it, indicating the actual pre-tax, pre-tip cost will be 10% higher than listed. Which borders very closely to a bait and switch scam.Complaining about your business’ overhead costs through line item fees on the final bill is plenty obnoxious and in poor taste, especially when specifically complaining about paying fair wages to the employees without which your business would fail. But if you really wanted to complain about your business’s overhead costs, you would make that notice plainly visible instead of sheepishly or nefariously hiding it in small print in the corner of the drink side of the menu. So I think it’s more likely that Centro is trying to simply skim an extra 10% from all who eat here. An insult to their customers and common decency, not to mention bordering on an outright bait and switch price scam.

Cute place in Highland. You order from your table by scanning a QR code. This approach is awkward and impersonal. You are also asked to tip before the food comes. (Gratuity is supposed to be based on service.)Speaking of service, ours consisted of the food being brought to our table. (You even have to fill your own water glass.) No one ever checked to ask how the food was.The tacos were tasty. Rice bowl was bland, and the $3 add-on guacamole was a mere spoonful. The bowl of Brussels sprouts ($12), was smothered in peanuts and an overpowering sauce, making it difficult to taste the actual vegetable.
