I've gone here a few times in my life living in the neighborhood down the street from this place. It's been several names but now it's Cheer's Pub after the latest ownership change. They run a decent bar, seem to keep tabs on the patrons and it's a decent hangout. It's a typical neighborhood bar with a lot of regulars, cheap drinks, pull tabs, plus some stuff good...football nights, live music with local cover bands and some homegrown musicians, and Karaoke nights. The food here with the new owners is actually pretty damn good for a bar. I've ate here a couple times and I'd go back for those times I'm peckish and don't want to make anything myself (and they make a good drink). Simple menu: French fries, Mozzarella sticks, Jalapeño poppers, Hot dog, Slaw dog, Polish dog, Burger, Cheeseburger, Chicken drummies/sandwich/tenders, Catfish nuggets, Corned beef or Turkey sandwich.This time around I had the slaw dog (see pic) and it was a good take on a Chicago but with slaw...it's a beaut and tastes great, plus the fresh cut fries were the bomb.
I am really going to miss the great people I have met at this great spot. This is a awesome, spotto chill and hang out at. I love it. The Bartendersare the best!!!Stay safe everyone. I will visit.Michelle Matthew
