For a good weather fall weekday lunch place, you cannot do better in the twin cities. Totally ideal location right in top of a pretty spot on the river.

This was our first time at City House. Met my daughter, son in law, and granddaughter. Food was good, food truck style and but not much variety. Touted a salsa bar, only three out (peach, mango, mild).
You order drinks and food at counters, no servers. Pay for food when you order, can run tabs at the bar for drinks.
The atmosphere is great, open setting on the river, open air building with garage doors to close up for weather.
Staff was very friendly, fast, and nice!
Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter loved the play area. Adult games but she found ways to enjoy (she's 1 1/2).

Beer prices are a bit much for what this place is. I paid $9 before tip for a 12oz Pilsner. Food is decent if you can figure out how to order. It is not as straightforward as I thought it should be. It’s a cool spot, very limited seating with the river view. If you’re not there early don’t expect to get a spot along the water because everyone will be hogging them.

View is amazing. Drinks are good and reasonably priced, food is fine but very expensive.

This place is great when it is not cold. It offers a wonderful view on beautiful sunny days overlooking the river.
DID I TELL YOU ABOUT THE DRINKS???
Fantastic and delicious. My fave is the Spicy Margarita.
I truly love their Cubano and Quesadilla. They also have a salsa bar that you can try with peach and pineapple flavors. My go-to is the Fuego.
If you just want to chill and love a beautiful view...TRY THIS PLACE.
They are pet friendly as well.

Hipster Beer Hall with amazing River Views- They had large selection of beer. This would make a really nice small stage area for stand-up comedy or small acoustic set. The spot is Still finding its identity. Needs support. Great location.

We unexpectedly happened upon this restaurant on a bike ride. We were hungry and thirsty, and this establishment did not disappoint. Quick tasty food and good drinks with an awesome river view to boot. Will gladly visit again.

One of the best patios in the twin cities, very dog friendly, very kid friendly (little play area + bags area), great selection of beers, and a dynamite Cubano sandwich. So good that we shared a Cubano, then went into downtown St. Paul, and then decided to come back and get another one! Love this place.
Kid-friendliness: Open atmosphere with play area in the corner + bags, connect four, etc.
