Came in this weekend on a whim — I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place before. The food was SO good, and the manager Hank took the time to sit with us and share some history of the building. We’ll be back!

My old review needs an update from 5 to 1. They don't accept cash, which I just found out today. Any bar that refuses cash is classist, classless, a bit racist, and refuses to acknowledge hard working people.
I walked away from an unpaid beer and if you do too it will cost them money. You do the math.
Edit: I might further add that Pew research found that among people who use cash, white people are half as likely to use cash as people from other ethnic backgrounds.

We went for a walk along the river and stumbled onto this place.
We went in for a couple cocktails and sat on the deck overlooking the river. We didn't try any food but the other patrons plates looked appetizing.

Me and my wife went to St Paul City House just on a spin and believing or not the area before you get to the city house is this unimaginable beautiful quiet tranquil I mean I love this so much for I had to pinch myself

Great place to hang out right on the water! One thing to note if you park in the free parking ramp: you need a code from the City House staff to get back into the ramp. I didn't realize this and went to get my car after they had closed and almost couldn't get back into the ramp! But great beer and food truck onsite. Just don't forget to get the parking code :)
