So excited the café is open! The grilled fish tacos were the best I've ever had, perfectly tender inside and seasoned, fresh corn tortillas, slaw, and sauce. They have a beautiful patio and really friendly staff to boot. I can't wait to spend the summer here.

Great selection of seafood. The restaurant in the back is very good too. Recommend the Connecticut style lobster roll and calamari.

I picked up some salmon for sashimi here, when I came home I smelled the fish and it had a strong fishy odor which usually you do not get with sashimi. I believe the fish was a couple days old and not fresh so that was disappointing.

An amazing selection of fish and seafood. Their new location is larger and better land out. The staff was great and very knowledgeable. Prices are comparable with and high end location.

Awesome selection of seafood you don’t find around the cities very often

Our favorite fish store has a beautiful new space! Lots of kind staff waiting to serve you, deep full freezers, gourmet sauces, sweets, and tidbits to delight, and of course the highest quality seafood. Can’t wait for the wine/fish bar to open. So honored to have this store in our neighborhood.

Update January 2024: customer service seems to have taken a big hit since the move to the new Snelling location. They also stopped selling the Gulf brown shrimp options instead for a mediocre lower priced option.--------A few years ago it was 5 stars: Best seafood in the twin cities. Knowledgeable and helpful staff - a twin cities gem. Oyster lovers should sign up for their newsletter to find out about weekly specialty oysters.I used to buy shrimp at various Asian markets because they were decent and a great value, but no more: Coastal's brown shrimp are the best in the twin cities (like most of what they carry) - I'd rather eat half as many shrimp that are twice as good.

I grew up coming here. Then the working class could afford specialty stores they were actually more affordable than the grocery stores. Not anymore. Its not affordable at all. Especially when you have costco. Sorry Coastal its not you more like its the shift of the economy. Thank you for many years of good service.

There is no cafe and they rudely brushed us off for asking when it was going to open. I could've sworn I read about how good their fish and chips is. I guess you expect fishmongers to be brusque but we definitely had whiplash from how excited we were for lunch to how much we realized this place didn't want us.

Normally this place is amazing and I only get my fish products at this store. Recently I tried to call them and could not get a hold of anyone. The phone rings off the hook and then goes to voicemail. The voicemail is full so I cant leave a message. Frustrating!

Always helpful, every thing is always fresh. It’s my go to for seafood. Parking is sometimes a little rough.
