The best breakfast and coffee in town..

TBSMKS0305

Nice cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. Our server was friendly and very efficient. I had the BLT with a side Caesar - good. My husband had a Scandinavian frittata- also very good. My son in law had the colossal breakfast - good but the biscuit was dry. My daughter had a breakfast sandwich which was good. Portions was a good size. I’m not giving the restaurant 5 stars because breakfast was $100 - too much expensive!

Excellent breakfast (colossal light), atmosphere, and service. The homemade sourdough bread was delicious. The owner stopped by to say hello as well.

Great breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were excellent - some if the best I’ve had. I’d put them up against my Grandmas and that’s saying a lot!

Flappers were great. Didn't like the biscuit and gravy. Then she didn't offer a discount. A meal for just me cost me$40

Great food but be prepared to wait! The place is a great little local spot and people definitely know it so breakfast/brunch time it's veeeery busy. The biscuits are great as well as the flappers. We can never decide if we like the mushroom or sausage gravy best, they're both delicious. I also like their patio option which is tables out on the side walk but it's great to have an outside option and a few more tables. The servers are busy and working hard.

My favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Saint Paul. Coffee, service, food, coffee, cleanliness, consistency and coffee are all top of the line. Reservations are not accepted, which can be a drag, but they offer a waitlist you can join online before coming into the restaurant when it’s busy.

Parking: Parking lot across the street and spots along Grand Ave are often plentiful as well.

On Friday for lunch my family of five was seated promptly. We parked on the street but there is a lot across Grand as well. They had activities for the kids, and the kids loved the pumpkin and banana bars/cake for lunch. I got a café au lait and a fruit/yogurt parfait. I was impressed by the amount of fresh fruit in the parfait, and once again I had a great experience at Colossal. All in, the place can get busy because it is a cozy breakfast/brunch spot that is non pretentious and family friendly.

Kid-friendliness: Family friendly with kids activities and kids meals.

Wheelchair accessibility: Automatic sliding door for entry, tables are close together so getting a wheelchair through might be somewhat difficult but not impossible.
