Donatelli's did our wedding catering and they were GEMS among vendors from start to finish. Phyl was fantastic to work with througout the entire process, from the tasting to the day of! They all helped flip tables, serve cake, welcome our guests, dismiss tables for dinner, the list goes on. Not to mention the food was better than any other wedding food I've ever had. It sounds weird, but I cannot tell you how many people came up to me talking about how good the roasted vegetables (of all things) were.

I have been visiting Donatelli's Restaurant since they had a location in Woodbury and White Bear Lake. The food and the service have always been outstanding with friendly and helpful staff.. The Pink Panther theme endures over the decades. The anti pasta salad is my favorite with baked ziti (add Italian sausage).

Ordered online Ordered 50 dollars in food #1Chicken BBQ pizza Cardboard crust, horrible fixining even the cheese was bad tasting. I have had good pizza before and this pizza was the worst. Granddaughter had small personal pizza and fried ravioli, I had one and you can get better air frier ones at the grocery . Then had a place for a tip starting at 20% for having it ready for pickup?? I did 5.dollars.. So disappointment i had to write this post.. Never got this bad of food ever.. Prayers if you can stand it My money is from working hard and to get this is horrifying

As a bride with Celiac disease, finding a wedding caterer I could fully trust was a huge priority. I had eaten at Donatelli’s in St. Paul before and never once gotten sick, so I knew right away they were the first place I wanted to reach out to when planning our wedding.
From the start, they blew us away. At our tasting, every single dish was out of this world—it was honestly tough to narrow it down to just two entrées because everything was so delicious. Even the salads were incredible, and their gluten-free buns? Absolutely amazing! I’ve always thought pasta is one of the best foods to make gluten-free, and Donatelli’s proved me right—their gluten-free noodles were perfection and totally undetectable from regular pasta.
On the wedding day, their food spoke for itself. Guests raved about both entrée options (our red sauce pick: Lasagna, and our white sauce pick: Cajun Chicken Tortellini—available gluten-free). People had such a hard time deciding between them because both were mouthwatering! Beyond the food, Donatelli’s went above and beyond with service. The staff was thoughtful, professional, and so attentive—they treated us like royalty at the head table, making sure we had everything we needed for our very first meal as husband and wife.
What also really stood out to me was how well they handled dietary restrictions. Not only did they take care of me with gluten-free options, but they also accommodated our guests who needed dairy-free and vegan meals. That kind of care and flexibility made such a difference and allowed all of our guests to enjoy the meal without worry.
I cannot recommend Donatelli’s enough. Their food is phenomenal, their staff is top-notch, and their attention to detail made our wedding meal absolutely perfect. If you need a caterer—especially if you’re looking for gluten-free options—you will not regret choosing Donatelli’s!
