Currently serving my favorite breakfast: scrambled egg whites with spinach, home fries and pumpernickel toast. The portions are generous but sane and usually arrive with remarkable speed. Friendly service. The place feels a bit like a cafeteria, but also gives nice church basement vibes. Sundays around noon are generally packed.
Whatever you do, do not get the huevos rancheros as they clearly do not know what they are. Cold beans, olives, tomatoes, bell peppers and sour cream piled on a plate with soft tortillas and salsa on the side. 😐
Had a great Saturday morning breakfast. I had the French toast, with over easy eggs and bacon. The reason for the 4 stars is the French toast. Maybe it would have been better with cinnamon. The bacon tastes really good. Very large area inside for dining. Great view of University Ave.
